Jesus Christ, Bangladesh SUCK!!! I really dont see why there a test playing nation. Defeat after defeat, thumping after thumping is not gunna help there development at all. It's just gunna turn people off cricket in Bangladesh after seeing there team constantly beaten.

Canada! Davo!

Bangladesh aren't going to win a match this tournament - making a complete mockery of their test status.

The only reason they got in was that scumbag in charge of Indian cricket and his cronies - if they weren't an Asian nation they wouldn't be there simple as that.

Kenya are far more deserving, and Canada are as well by the looks of it.

Not sure of his name, but the guy that ended with 5-27 for Canada shows a bit of promise. He's tall, gets some decent bounce, and is seemingly quite accurate.

Could have a future.

The only reason India voted for Banghladesh to be a test nation was to boost the averages of thier very average players. Notice that they play a fair bit of cricket against the lesser ranked teams?

Canada will be the next test nation, cant believe i have said that.

I told you, Seiny. ;)

BTW, Kenny... I'm not singling you out here; more than 50% of people get this wrong. Most of you might notice this, too. A lot of commentators these days tend to say – Canada/Arsenal/Brisbane win. It should be wins. Canada (being the singular) should end with wins, rather than win.

The same rule applies for are/is. It’s:

Brisbane IS good.
Lions ARE good.

Lions, of course, being a plural (more than one).

I used to get confused with this, too. I guess commentators are to blame for this. Seriously, though, a lot of commentators tend to stuff this rule up.

Anyway, back to the actual subject – I knew Canada would win this game. They are simply a better country (sporting wise). I don’t think it will be too long until Canada makes their way into the top ten in the World.

Maybe it shouldn't be all that surprising, given a quick glance at their squad. I don't think any of Canada's domestic cricket is classified as List A or First-Class, but a few of their squad members have played that level of cricket in other competitions.

John Davison has 8 seasons experience in Australian cricket (although he's garbage by this country's standards), there's one bloke who played for South Australia country, and a few former West Indian fringe First Class players. Not impressive when compared to the legitimate cricket nations, but it stacks up OK compared to the Bangladeshis, most of whom would be grade cricketers (if that) in Australia.

I don't know if this means Canada is a decent team (relative to other minnows) - as I didn't see the game - or if it just means Bangladesh is THAT bad.

Only full member (Test playing) nations play domestic first class and list a cricket. In the recent past Canada have fielded a team in the Red Stripe Bowl, a West Indies one-day domestic tournament. Also, Ian Bilcliff has played domestic cricket in New Zealand.
