I don't want to give this rumour more legs than it deserves

BUT

I spoke to a journo I know who works for the 'tiser this morning, and apparently there are similar type rumours doing the rounds inside the Advertiser.

He knows no more than that, but either they read Bigfooty or there could be some element of truth to it.

Personally, although there are times that Rucci sh its me to tears, I'll be somewhat disappointed if it is true.

Who will we have to hate and criticize then??? :confused: :D

We need to make it clear the the tiser that we will boycott their paper if they get rid of Rucci!

Mate, you shouldn't be spreading rubbish like that. The rumour I have heard and I must stress it is a rumour only, is that a major interstate newspaper is very keen on Rucci and have offered him a lucrative contract to join them. To suggest that the News Ltd Board will take advice from Trigg or Sanders on appointments to positions is just ludicrous.

Which paper?????
Is it in Melbourne? If it is, it must be The Age .... because I've heard the Herald Sun don't rate Rucci at all.

And I'd be surprised if The Age would be in a position to offer anyone a lucrative contract at the moment. Their circulation figures are quite poor - less than 200,000, I think.

You might find this difficult to comprehend ... but most people aren't totally preoccupied with Rucci (like you are).

there is a difference between Rucci leaving, and this numpty telling us that the darkforce of the AFC orchestrated it.
 
I am amazed you guys are turning against what is best for the Adelaide Crows.
Am I obsessed with this subject? I am passionate about getting what is right for my footbal club. And I think the best thing that can happen for the Adelaide Crows is to kill off this Port Power @****!

I am amazed you think the musings of Rucci actually have any affect whatsoever on the Crows. You must have led a very sheltered life.

Dont worry Stiffy, knowing the overall quality of the Advertiser, it wont take them long to find someone else to step up to the plate and replace Rucci as Australias worst Football writer.

They might not like Rucci, but surely the AFC is not so arrogant to think they should be able to dictate who the paper employs??? They'd go down a long way in my estimations if they did.
It'd be like the Advertiser saying to the Crows (and this is just an example) "we don't like Phil Harper. He's not very co-operative. Get rid of him, will ya?" BTW, I reckon Phil's a top bloke.

If we'd expect our club to go to the AFL if we were not happy with an umpire, why wouldn't they do the same at the Tiser?

I like the idea of starting a poll as to whom we want to replace Rucci.
