Now we all know that Wayne has zero integrity, history confirms the essence of his being.
As low as I rate Carey as a human being he has plunged to new lows with his current ad campaign leveraging “men’s health” alongside another hair product for the follically challenged.
Men’s health is a serious and growing concern in society and I do not doubt that for some thinning hair can have a personal impact.
I do think using a public health issue for personal gain stinks.

TLDR
Carey shill, proves he is a crap human.

Hmm I don’t think it’s exactly a new low for him.

Thing is, Wayne’s issues are well known - and I would assume he is promoting this from a ‘good space’ in his personal well being - so he’d be coming from the angle that he’s got his life back together, there is hope etc

Whether that is intrinsically linked to hair loss is probably debatable but it’s not like he’s got his mug on a DV awareness advert.

Wayne got a ‘redemption arch’ that we are unlikely to see ever again, given how much the climate has changed in the last 5 years - his status as a champion of the game no doubt helped (like Shane Warne before him) but it’s not surprising to see him cashing on his ‘repaired reputation’ (and seemingly, hair line).

I'm not sure this is going to rise to the level of outrage you are looking for.

Yes, far worse that ****ing your best mate's wife or glassing a lady. Those were all fine with me, but this is a step too far.

Considering a lot of men are very self-conscious about hair loss (just look at the size of the industry) and it can lead to a huge drop in self-esteem, I'd say there is a very direct link between hair loss and mental health for a lot of men.

Not sure why you're outraged by this OP, perhaps you meant to post this on Twitter instead.

Where have you been OP, people use serious human issues to sell products all the time, and they do it far more unethically than this. Capitalism is truly shameless. I don't blame Carey for participating in it, I blame how commercialised our society is. At least he isn't glassing people anymore (that I know of).

Makes a nonsense post and then disappears. At least he got to start a thread.

Jeez. Sorry I don’t live here.

I (opinion) didn’t like the fact that the ads lean heavily into a hugely important public health issue.
It is fine if you don’t agree.
I see it akin to if Ricky Ponting advertised scented candles and the entire ad was about mental health. Yes there may be a tenuous link to well-being.
Opportunistic and disingenuous in my opinion. You may choose to think WC is doing this for the betterment of his fellow man. It’s not my view but you are entitled to yours.

I mean Jordan De Goey is literally being charged with sexual assault and the media still tries to pump him up be a superstar and the AFL/Collingwood basically haven’t said a word on the topic. Apparently they just skip the redemption arc these days and go straight into pretending the problem never existed.
