I think it's great to see these sort of little things as they add to the rivalry and excitement of the game. Banners and goal celebrations create tension amongst both camps and to whinge about it is plain silly. Then again if you can't back it up....

you know i seem to remember when silvagni played his 300th game against us our football club showed him enormous respect its a pity that respect wasnt returned yesterday but that just illustrates why one should always loathe carlton .
by the way silvagni was one blue who deserved respect.

The Carlton banners tend to be a bit disrespectful like that. As Kobeh said, I'm also surprised the club lets them say the things they have on their banners. Most clubs banners are just plain and boring.

The pun itself is actually quite clever and funny, but was entirely inappropriate on Carlton's banner, given the occasion. Disrespectful, but also very negative from Carlton's perspective. Thought it might have fired the tigers up!

And we all know it's not true, apart from the last 27 years, we have been a very successful club!

Not on topic, but why didn't we have the boys out on the field while the Tigers Theme song was being played and sung by all Tigers? It pumped me up and I watched a replay on the TV.
