You should all know the drill by now, but if you don't, take a read below...

--------

Hey guys.

Like last year, 16 of the Carlton board posters participated in a draft game, whereby just like an ordinary draft, each poster had a pick in each round on each AFL player which was on a list before the national and pre season drafts, and on an AFL list after the delisting periods.

Each of these posts has formulated a team, and now we want the Carlton Board to determine which of these teams is the better out of the 16, and to determine who is the best Carlton Board Drafter.

Each team will be put in a poll, just like this one and each poll will knock out one team. The polls will continue until there is one team remaining. I will try and space out the timing of the polls so this board isn't overflowing with them. I have refrained from naming the owners of each team as to not influence the votes. Each poll will close at the end of a 72 hour period. So here we go.

--------

Team K

B: Paul Wheatley, Craig Bolton, Andrew Welsh
HB: Clinton Young, Matthew Egan, Chris Newman
C: Domenic Cassisi, Scott Pendlebury, Simon Buckley
HF: Brad Fisher Tom Hawkins Angus Monfries
F: Kyle Reimers Kurt Tippett Robert Murphy
Foll: Dean Cox Mark McVeigh Kane Cornes
I/C: Matthew Rosa Brad Moran Jason Roe Jordan Russell

Team L

B: Antoni Grover, Max Hudghton, Joel Patfull
HB: Roger Hayden, Patrick Ryder, Adam Selwood
C: Jason Gram, Brock Mclean, Brad Green
HF: Scott Welsh, Matthew Pavlich, Dean Solomon
F: Jarrad Moore, Jarrad Roughead, Tyson Edwards
Foll: Hamish Mcintosh, Lenny Hayes, Jarrad Mcveigh
I/C: Adam Pattison, Amon Buchanan, Sam Lonergan, David Myers

Apart from Pavlich, Roughead, McVeigh and Hayes Team L seems to be lacking a bit of natural ability and looks a bit old (edwards, grover, hayden, welsh, soloman, hudghton.)

Team K has a nice mix of young guns and A+ plyares in Cox, Kornes and Bolton.

I'd argue that team L has more natural ability than K. Has a whole host of players capable of kicking a goal. Has some excellent attacking players in Gram, Green, Edwards and Mcveigh. Not to mention one of the game's best young ruckmen in Mctinosh.

Might be a tad on the old side, but all of them had good 08 seasons and are still solid contributors to their respective sides.

Team L for me.

Too many inconsistent types in team K. Guys like Wheatley, Young, Pendlebury, Fisher and Hawkins can put in the occasional blinder, but go missing for weeks in between. Also can't see Fisher, Hawkins, Monfires, Riemers, Tippet & Murphy kicking a winning score.
