Does anyone know how many members the blues have to date?

Reading a few weeks back in the paper we had about 14k. I think we were about 11th compared to other clubs at that stage.

Went in to renew my membership a couple of weeks ago, they have no idea what the number is, a long way behind in terms of processing at this stage.

Our membership is going along nicely! Expect Carlton to be holding back true figures as we will want to announce the real figure in the next few weeks as we ramp up for our 2008 campaign. From what I hear, we are a lot higher than 11th on the membership ladder as reported.

Yeh we were third behind essendon and collingwood mid december. Apparently the figures showed didnt count the member that purchased in december

I was quite surprised myself but at the time i do believe it to be correct. I suspect we'd have gotten a lot more members and overlapped a few since then though - although i know it wouldn't matter as it's inevitable that people will sign up, even if it is in the later stages of the off season or into the season.

Either way, it would be great if the club could put this number onto the website. It is creating a fair bit of interest.

QUESTION: I'm hoping to sign up for concession membership in the next week, however don't get my student card till Febuary. When signing up, will they insist on me having a student card present, or will I only need it on match day?

Most of the time. Deoneds how old u look. I know i used my friends mums membership and got in. and im only 14 so i wouldnt worry to much

If your only 15 buy a junior. U can get access to interstate matches and its SOOO much cheaper. If your turning 15 soon you have to buy a junior. Its what age u r as of the jan 1

and 1 more thing. If ur gunna bu a junior membership, itd be worthwile buying a captains club one so your GUARANTEED access to all melbourne games. Its where u get general admission access but if its booked or fully tivketed there is a spot near the forward pocket were only people with your membership can get in
