Add Cowan as well. I think we were planning on playing Newman on the ball this year? Jagga off half back I think makes sence but as a high half forward who goes into the middle or wing would be dynamite if he can nail that down. Could Saad have a rejuvination next season?Carroll Wilson Charleson Ollie all running defender options. I'd play Jagga off HB in his first year at times. Weitering, Silvagni, HOF, Newman as pillars. Can Boyd reach his potential? We have some talent and will add Dean at years end
Flynn Young looks a modern day HB to me. That run and raking Left foot aff HB would be a weapon
Love to see Cowan on a wing or even the middle. Tough, some pace and can kick it long to advantage
Our list is not that bad. We have had some poor list direction, put together a poor forward line and a very out of date, slow, immobile midfield. We need to fix that.

Ollie... heckSo you're saying we play Billy at half back and Wilson in the back pocket??
DGB looked good in the highlights.Slow, limited physical presence against AFL bodies, doesn't keep up with the pace of the action when stepping up.
Worse than S.Durdin, so I'm more excited to see Grainger-Barass in a third forward, third defender role.

Power is OK. Not sure I would attribute the upturn in development to him.Amazing how the general consensus on here not that long ago was that Power was no good, and will be one of the post-season causalities. All it took was one VFL game to launch him into senior coach discussions
I’ve always rated Power as a coach. I met him about when he first came to Carlton around 2019, and he is an incredible bloke. Very relatable, respectful, and giving of his time. Was highly respected when he worked for the AFL academy as wellPower is OK. Not sure I would attribute the upturn in development to him.
I believe our recruiting of some late and rookie picks if late has been first class. Tom Lonergan from the Cats and Brad Ebert from Eagles successful period and Port have been pivotal over the last couple of seasons along with Torin Baker.
Ebert is Head of Development and Lonergan’s title is Development and Talent Manager. Baker is simply a Development Coach. Power’s official title is simply VFL Senior Coach.
The question becomes the amount of cross over with the AFL and VFL boys, which will speak to how much influence Power does or doesn’t have.
Looks good to me, well rounded player.Charleson has a lovely natural kicking action; how is his athleticism? Hard to get a read based on some VFL viewing.
All aboard “the Power train”….agreed it’s comical…as is the concept that the reserves are trained to play any differently from the league side. The only (big) difference is the game is played at a much lower intensity allowing players more time to execute their skills.Amazing how the general consensus on here not that long ago was that Power was no good, and will be one of the post-season causalities. All it took was one VFL game to launch him into senior coach discussions
He’s barely had anywhere close to a strong compliment list of available players for any period of time to help develop players and game plan in his role at the club…I’ve always rated Power as a coach. It is not 1 game, it is the teams performance over the last 6-8 games where despite a very young team they are playing great footy and the young players are developing. I don't think anyone who watches VFL thought that he is that he was no good or that he is a Senior coach in waitingAmazing how the general consensus on here not that long ago was that Power was no good, and will be one of the post-season causalities. I was seeing people ripping into him for his 3 quarter time interview LAST WEEK! This narrative has only appeared in the last 4 days or so. It’s done almost a complete 180 seemingly overnightIt is not 1 game, it is the teams performance over the last 6-8 games where despite a very young team they are playing great footy and the young players are developing.
