When and who will be carlton's next superstar? is he at the club already?

there are only ever a few superstars in the AFL at anytime, and with form and injury inhibiting some of them, probably 2-3 at any time who can grab a game and win it off their own bat.

Dusty, Fyfe, Dangerfield, Rance, Kennedy (WCE) and Buddy are maybe the current crop...

Carlton has probably drafted 2 players since the draft who could own a game Fev and Kouta (excluding andrew walker as he only did it once(his first game))

Who will be our next? we are all hanging out for him to emerge!

We have many players capable of that.

Patrick Cripps
Jacob Weitering
Sam Petrevski-Seton
Sam Docherty
Charlie Curnow
Harry McKay
David Cuningham
Tom Williamson

and most importantly...

LIAM ******* JONES!!!

Reckon Cripps and Curnow will be players that Carlton fans talk about in the same way we reminisce about Kouta, Kernahan, Diesel and Jezza.

SPS, have to love a player who seems to have all the time in the world when he has the footy in his hands, contests for the footy and tackles hard.
Another pre-season and watch him fly.

NEXT superstar: Cripps. He's nearly there already, just needs more team success to highlight his dominance.

Soon followed by Charlie. :)

Surprising Weitering isn't being mentioned.
He went through a lull this year, but he's still one hell of a smart player.
The trick for him is to get a little bit tougher.

Curnow is the obvious one, but things can go wrong.

Cripps is the one. Didn't have a pre-season, played with broken ribs and then broke his leg and he still had an OK year.

Petrevski-Seton is made of the right stuff. Could easily get himself into very lofty territory.

As good as Cripps is he's not exactly a gamebreaker. Unless he develops as a forward more he won't be.

Curnow is the obvious one. Perhaps Weitering, over his career Harry Taylor at both ends has been a match winner, and I believe Weitering is a lot like that.

All I know is that at least 1 of our young players will elevate themselves rapidly next season. I expect a massive breakout based on the law of averages.

Not so long ago the answer to this thread's question was easy: nobody.

Such a nice change.

SPS and Charlie in my opinion.
