Can only think of 2
Spalding, Mulcair
Wasn’t a pick in the 100’s used on Zac Tuohy as an international rookie or something??
Franchina? As I said in my question, there were two recent-ish ones and four older, tougher ones....
Well done, Arr0w! Two of the four older ones nailed.
1988, pick 110: Chris Mulcair
1992, pick 118 : Scott Spalding
Indeed.
2012, pick 102: Zac Tuohy
Not going to hang out for the two remaining older ones, but there is another one from the last decade. Along the same lines of Tuohy, Casboult, E Curnow...
Don’t think he was...bit racist
Simon White?Players were selected in the main event, with picks >100.
Your mention of rookie draft is not totally irrelevant though.
Hint: Guesses of Casboult and Ed Curnow are not correct, but are on the right track....
white?
Simon White?
Yep, Simon White.
He was technically drafted twice in the same 'year'.
White was selected in the 2010 rookie draft and then selected as a promoted rookie in the 2010 main draft.
That sounds impossible, but this was back in the day when the rookie draft was held the 'year before'. Ie the 2010 rookie draft was held in late 2009, about three weeks after the 2009 national draft.
And to round out my original question... The remaining two players to be selected in the national draft with picks >100 are
1989, pick 109 - Colin Corkery
1992, pick 103 - Ben Harrison
Don’t even remember Colin Corkery, who the hell was he ?Irish recruit. Surely had to be from County Cork.Don’t even remember Colin Corkery, who the hell was he ?
