I still find it amazing that Rankine is no longer being talked about in the top 5 picks. This guy had to change sides in a game last year to help even up the game.

He's been the #1 target for me. If we finish bottom 2, we're a very strong chance of getting him.

Do you think there'll be any flight risk with him?

Healthy scepticism here. Recent suspension(s), declining reports. Smelling Fogarty stay at home vibes. Any feedback?

Adelaide are trying to position themselves to grab him and Rozee IMO.

I don't see the home sickness performance from Rankine, he's a little aggressive sometimes on the field, but he is a super professional.

Amazing that only 3 weeks in, we're already more interested in what happens in November.

Yes it's a little sad , but on subject one can't seriously look past Lukosius for pick 1 Key Forwad 196 cm and Rankine , Hill or Walsh for a small.
By season's end we'll salivating at the prospect of any one of these youngsters.
Lukosius will become a superstar, we'd be so lucky and he may just be able to fill the great void our greats Kernahan or Fevola left.
Go Blues

As it stands now, i'd be taking Lukosius also. You just don't pass up quality talls, especially ones that have been compared to Riewoldt.

I've heard nothing, not really concerned based on what vision I had last year.

He has elite speed, endurance and agility.
He does attempt the impossible with his kicks at times, so once he sorts that out, he is the complete package.
I want to see him spend more time in the midfield, but that is about it at the moment.

Luko, Rankine, Walsh.... Those are probably my top 3 currently.
Hately is coming on strongly and could be a sneaky top 10 pick before the end of the season.

Very strong flight risk apparently. Only interested in 2 teams. Someone on our board posted that his attitude was making clubs nervous.

except when it takes 2-3 years for him to come on because talls and kpps take longer and people question wtf did we take him for when we could have had (enter name of player we did not take here) who is showing a hell of a lot more at (enter name of club who did not take lukosius here)

so basically only Carlton are shit?

SOS will continue to draft what he perceives as best available and trade/target free agents to fill holes.

It will never be just KPP's or all out on mids. If we did end up finishing last and he rated Lukosius as the best player in the draft, he will select him

A high professional standard is what's expected from club's operations in all sectors.
As for our draft needs in 2018, a talented very mobile Key forward with dazzling skills by foot, marking and good footy IQ .
If Lukosius was there come our turn, Silvagni would pounce, the lad won't need three years to show what he can do.

He may need 3 years but that should be okay for talls to develop.

Didn’t watch the game but Ben Silvagni’s stats looked alright. 2 goals, 19 disposals (11 kicks & 8 handballs), 10 marks and 6 inside 50s.

But shh don’t tell anyone.

Pretty crazy that we will have Jack SOS, Ben SOS, McKay, Kerr, TDK, Curnow & Casboult all on our list next year...you really don't need 7 KPF's on your list at the one time. Especially not in today's game. And we'll have about 9 KPD's...

By my count we'll have 19 players on our list either KPP's or ruckmen. Leaving only 25 for the rest of the list. Waaaaay too many.

So we'll have Lukosius, Ben SOS, Jack SOS, McKay, Kerr, TDK, Curnow and Casboult all on our list at the same time...no thanks. Stupid amount of KPF's.

Not a line breaker, which is fine in terms of his AFL potential across the league, but not good for our midfield.

We've got plenty of distributors and need more players who can break the game open with their elite two-way run.

That's an interesting opinion. I feel that running is his great strength. He runs a 16 + beep, and at afl level will run like tom Scully. I would have thought he'd compliment Cripps and dow very well indeed.

LM what's your take in bailey smith? Looks to have put up good numbers.
