It's actually a legacy of all the proud tanking from last year. They could always make representation to the AFL to have the record expunged provided they make free and full admissions.

Bay13 is ----->

We're a chance against the Pies I reckon, we seem to match up on them well and more recently the games have been close for the most part. But in typical fashion, we'll have a 3 or 4 goal lead then get overrun.

What is really amazing is that they have done it in this age of the AFL wanting 16 teams as equal as possible. That takes real effort. I would be interested in the longest losing streaks since the draft has been in full effect (i.e. after six or seven seasons).

Which goes to show that pride, passion and a winning culture > draft picks.

That we may break our longest losing streak in history is a huge blight. We should be doing everything we can to a avoid it... so I hope the players really get fired up for next week. IMO it is probably the most significant negative record apart from winning our first spoon. :(

You're no chance Thrawn as the problem with you guys is the lack of depth e.g/ Russell,Bower, Banister,Pfieffer. You've got too few to carry the load, an unproven coach and too many sheepdogs in your side.

Considering last year's efforts against you guys, I wouldn't say we're "no chance". We seem to play better against you guys, even if we do lose.

The #1 problem is our mindset - either influenced by a lack of confidence or fitness. We will need to address this first... because a confident spirit where you back yourself is required before you can possibly develop your list properly.

I agree but your depth will tell in the end. Keep recruiting #1's and we'll see in 5 years

If Collingwood play to form they'll smash Carlton by 10+ goals.

TBH, I reckon their streak in conceeding 100pts a game is more impressive than their losing streak. That record doesn't look like ending anytime soon either. :)

I had to slice open 3 of my bulls sacks during the week & remove their balls, I have 3 sets in a jar sitting in the freezer.I can donate them to you on behalf of the St.Kilda football club, you might need them next week against the cats. Might be worthwhile keeping a pair for yourself.

If I was you I'd Courier them to Princess Park pronto.

Actually it might pay you to find another 19 bulls before sending them off.

Watched last nights game and whilst it was a goal feast at some point in time you actually have to put defensive pressure on the other side. And if you are not going to have any defensive pressure then you must hit your targets and Carlton on numerous occasions didn't. The lack of pressure from both sides was appalling.

These two sides will not match it against the other well drilled teams (Geelong, Sydney, Adelaide and yes Collingwood) and will be exposed plus they won't last the season - you can't do this type of game for 22 weeks.

Carlton are lucky they play Melbourne in two weeks.

Lots of midfielders but no backline.

Tigers know all about losing streaks. They are deadly and defeating to morale on and off field. I genuinely feel sorry for Carlton who are going through a Tige like torture at the moment with a coadh who should be assisting and is out of his depth and a lst underferforming and apparently unable to gt the rudiments of defending - again here not having a real coach doesn't help. Defeat V the Magpies will end their season just as ours ended last year with defeat after defeat and on the evidence of recent years half their members will desert inter state games leaving the core 15 or 16,000. That would be bad for Carlton and bad for the Competition.

The difference is the Tigers supporters at least don't talk up their side lik they're the next premiers like Carlton did last season.

Tigers supporters expect improvement, Carlton supporters expect miracles.

I wouldn't make that bold statement based on some of the Carlton members of this board.

Go and speak to some of the Carlton members who sit at the games week in week out and find out what they expect. I can surely tell you its not miracles. A bit of heart from the players would be alright. A bit of respect shown towards the jumper would be alright. A 4 quarter effort would be alright.

I can assure you, many if not most of us do not expect miracles.

Reality is, we are in the bottom four teams of the competition, alongside Melbourne, Richmond and Essendon. A miracle for us would be to escape that.

Just think, it's a proud record they can beat week after week.
:thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu: Quote of the week....

We haven't heard too much from the Carltank supporters since the season proper started...at the rate they're going they might be able to fill the whole team with priority draft picks...

:)

Swans lost about 24/25 games in a row. Can't remember when but when we finally won it was as good as winning the GF...lol..

Whats amusing about it is that Carlton supporters at games were happy to lose to get Kreuzer.

Then they all wet themselves over getting Judd. Stevens is also fit now.

All three played last night and Fev kicked his biggest bag since 2000 and they still lose, to a team most think wont make the 8. Last night was Carltons best game in years.

I guess there is always this years Priority Pick to aim for now???
