Cat using a fork ???

Did anyone see this?

I was watching TEN news and they did a part of a cat that eats at the dinner table, using a knife, chopsticks and a spoon to eat.

Had a bit of a laugh

That was honestly one of the funniest things I've seen in ages. That cat was scoffing that food down!

And then came the chopsticks.

Smartest cat ever?

Damn, I never watch 10 news, was it fair dinkum, or was it computer generated?

Find it hard to believe that a cat or dog for that matter could hold utensils, paws aren't really designed for that.

While we are discussing animals copying humans, I sent an email to Dr Harry awhile back, asking why my dog shuts his bedroom door at night, I leave the back door open so he can go out to the toilet if he needs to, but every morning when I wake up I find he has shut himself in his bedroom, I use things to try & keep it open, but he moves them so he can shut the door.

Dr Harry asked if I keep my bedroom door open or closed, I emailed him back & said I kept it closed to keep Kenny out, Dr Harry's reply was that Kenny shuts his door, because I do & he is closing his door thinking he is doing the right thing.

Now where is that poll about who is smarter out of dogs & cats again?

Our cat does the doorknob-opening thing, too, Sandie. Misty has to get a running start-- smart kitty she is, too.

I saw the feature on Ten News about the cat with the fork, and it's fair dinkum, all right. No camera tricks or anything. I thought it was cute, while Jen thought it must be unhealthy for a cat to eat like that.

My mother would just say, "oh, poor baby," if she saw that cat doing it, though...

One other thing... god, that cat was huge. I've known some fat cats in my time, but somehow, I think that cat's table behaviour kinda encouraged or has an influence on its girth.

LOL You Idiot, maybe that's why it uses utensils, can shovel food in quicker.

Unfortunately I live an old style house, so Kenny can't open the doors, lucky he is house trained, he locked himself in for 12 hours one time when I stayed out overnight, mind you he was looking cross eyed when I let him out the next day when I got home.

I should post a pic of my old kitty from back home on here sometime... she was a bit chunky, loved to eat, and loved to have people watch her eat.

Post a pic, if I can find where Kenny's pic has disappeared to on my PC will post him too, he is such a cutie, seeing him will make people reavaluate their thinking that pitbulls are ugly, (hello Drew).

Wait a minute, your dog has its own bedroom? Your dog has its own friggin bedroom?

My golly woman, chuck the damn thing in the backyard and let it sleep in a wooden box like every other dog.

He has his own bedroom with a futon bed, got a problem with that, it is bloody freezing outside, how could any caring person make their pet sleep outside in this weather.

The pic of the cat, I know where it's at-- but I don't have it scanned at the moment, and it might take a while.

But that old cat of mine sure was a cutie... even though it could've been able to pass for a baby tiger at the zoo.

If I may be a buttinski...

I concur with that. And listening to the rythym of the storm outside, I agree even moreso.

Never could allow any cat I've ever had to be anything but an indoor cat. Not only because of exposing it to the weather, but because they might get pinched by someone who thinks that they're so adorable.

Jen thinks of Misty as the same way, and she and I agree that she'll never go outside.

Well we are still on storm alert here in Perth, beaches are closed, road weather alerts, I wouldn't wish my worst enemy to be outside in this weather, well maybe that is going a bit far.
