ROUND EIGHTEEN

GREATER WESTERN SYDNEY GIANTS

​

Combine Western Sydney with a team from another sport - rugby league, American football, soccer, netball, anything (except Australian Rules). However, there must be some sort of connection between the teams - mascot, name, colours, location, or something more creative.

Each entry must include at least one sports uniform - most likely an Australian Rules guernsey, but possibly a kit from the other sport chosen. Away jumpers, clash jumpers, preseason jumpers, special one-off promotional jumpers, and team logos can also be included.

Maximum five entries per person; one image per entry.

The competition is scheduled to conclude on Friday 29 July, however entries can be submitted until the polls are created.

Home and Away are based off the NY Giants' helmets.

The clash is based on the logo.

The reasoning behind the Friday Night Home Guernsey is that San Fran only wear their Alternate Orange Guernseys on Home Games on a Friday Night​

SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS​

Both GWS and San Francisco Giants have the same mascot and similar colours.

The home jumper is based on the GWS home jumper, and features the San Francisco insignia rather than the GWS logo. The away and clash jumpers are based on the alternate GWS jumper.

NEW YORK GIANTS​

Both GWS and New York Giants have the same mascot.

The home jumper is based on the GWS home jumper, and features the New York logo rather than the GWS logo. The away and clash jumpers are based on the alternate GWS jumper.

GWS Giants & Gold Coast-Tweed Giants (NRL)
GWS GIANTS​

Both GWS and Gold Coast-Tweed Giants have/had the same mascot and both used shades of grey - charcoal for GWS and silver for Gold Coast.

The home and away jumpers are based on the GWS home jumper, and feature the two shades of grey - charcoal and silver. The clash jumpers features the yoke from the Gold Coast jumper and features the GWS logo.

GWS Giants & Huddersfield Giants (Super League)
GWS GIANTS​

Both GWS and Huddersfield Giants have the same mascot.

The team colours combine Huddersfield's claret and GWS' orange. The home and clash jumpers are based on the GWS TAC jumpers, with a vee and the team logo. The preseason jumper is based on the current GWS jumper, with the Huddersfield logo rather than the GWS G.

GWS COWBOYS​

The link is quite tenuous, but Cowboys are Great in Westerns...

The home jumper is based on the GWS home jumper and features the Cowboys' logo. The clash jumper is the same jumper, but features the colours of Dallas' white home kit. The throwback jumper is based on Dallas' throwback jumper with stars on the shoulders, and also features a number on the front like all NFL jerseys.

Yeah, I tried it for the Suns but the design didn't really work...

In my opinion, this seems better.

(GWS Giants and San Francisco Giants)​

Connection:
Both teams have the Giants nickname and both teams have the colour orange.​

Colours:
The colours are Orange, Grey and Cream.​

Home Jumper
The home jumper is based off one of the GWS jumpers but has the San Francisco monogram instead of the GWS 'G'.​

Away Jumper
The away jumper is based off the mainly orange GWS jumper but features a part of the San Francisco logo that was used in the 70's instead of the GWS 'G'.​

Clash Jumper
The clash jumper is based off the away jumper and the orange GWS jumper but is mainly cream.​

Green Bay Giants

Teams: Greater West Sydney Giants (AFL) and Green Bay Packers (NFL)
Connection: Both teams have a large G as their predominant logo.

The home is largely the same as GWS' home, but with the Packers' G logo. The away simply swaps the charcoal with the white. The clash reflects the dark green and yellow gold of the Packers.
