I would like to see Murray have another couple of weeks in the 2s to work on a few things. Showed great promise and i' still bullish on him as a player for us but still some things to work on.. Bench of Adams, Daicos, Mayne and Apples for me. This will be an interesting game I think, I'm concerned its going to be an ugly one as Freo are going to be super defensive. First game in a while that i'd be shocked if we lost. Can't afford to drop it, freo have 2 of there most important players out. No excuses.

I know a few people are calling for Adams head this week but I thought his second half last week was a huge improvement on the first half. I’m hoping for another step up in form this weekend. He was runner up in the B&F last year so I’ll have faith in him as he improves on his fitness.

Just thinking that the Ox has really been selected out of the blue, and the club obviously has some thought behind his inclusion in the squad, unless we have someone else down back under a cloud.

Oxley has been pretty consistent at VFL level over the last few games.

Dunno if he'll be selected, dunno if he could give us much if he was, but I agree he's had some decent performances at VFL this season. He's had a bit more intensity about him. In any case, I've seen plenty of players elevated to senior footy on the back of lesser VFL efforts.

With Howe out, i'm guessing the club will be hoping maybe Oxley can fill that backline spot, taking intercept marks and spoiling attacks. Oxley's marking and kicking are his strong suits.
