Reported today in the papers in Perth that Chad Morrison has requested to be traded back to Melbourne.I know he has had 2 knee recons but had a pretty good year across half back. What do we reckon, worth a punt maybe for a second round draft pick?

I really really hope we don't get any smalls that aren't very quick and highly skilled. I'll settle for a Bizell type medium, a Brent Harvey type small or a Brisbane ruckman but not anyone like Morrison. We just don't need him and he won’t add a lot other than depth. Frankly our much talked of depth issues are nest solved by bringing through the players we have or adding quality of the type we do actually need (see above). If we trade our players they have to be for what we need or draft pick upgrades.

Nah, we dont need any more West Coast Eagles with two knee reconstructions.

Morrison is good, much better then some of our duds that play week to week so yes worth a shot.

Agreed. You can't expect to get a quality kpp with every trade.

Would be very valuable, at a fairly reasonable price too.

2004 Stats. Played most of the season, which is a good sign in regards to his knees. He picked up plenty of possessions all year. I think I would prefer him over an O'Bree type player.

Not everyone is going to be a star.

Yes i agree, I'd rather morrison in the team over Lokan, Willo, O'bree, Davis when out of form

I am a big fan of Chad Morrison and have been ever since his debut - one of my favourites from early childhood!!!

I watched every match this season, and was happy to see Chad Morrison up in the disposals in most games in the second half of the season. But he racked up most of his disposals uncontested, he had no opponent for most games and just romed off the half back flank up the Wing as a receiver.

Ryan Lonie is a better player, because he is tough and beats his opponent, yet he might be tested a s a forward, it depends on the outcome of Lonie's position next year.

I would like Chad Morrison at the club though.

Chad is gunna cost us at least pick 23 and i would rather we use that on young untried talent.
Leave the blokes west coast dont want to other clubs to pick up.

Someone like maxwell could perform his role on the half-back flank.

If we decide to deal McGough and get say a 3rd round pick I would use that on Morrison. Chad Morrison is into the second half of his career so he's not worth much more than that. I think if the price is much more than a 3rd rounder we should walk away from this one.

Chad and Our Man Rupert Betheras.
