G'day guys,

Just wondering if you could tell us a bit about our new boy? What possie did he play this year - more defence or midfield? Also, how are his knees?

Oh, and what's his nickname?

He'll be handy.

Better than the one game wonder Andy Williams for you guys.

Never going to be a superstar, but will be a useful half back flanker. Will alow Ryan Lonie to move up onto a wing where he is more suited.
 
Knees seemed to be fine, finished of '04 VERY well. Also always did well under Malthouse. Is a good pick-up for you guys:)

Good Luck Morro(he has lots of different nicknames it seems:P)
 
Mumbles was his nickname with the WC boys.

good pick up for you guys. Wish him all the best at Collingwood and hope his knees don't give him any more trouble.

Decent mark, and sometimes seems as though he can find the ball at will. Weaknesses are his disposal which is frankly pretty substandard and -s-l-o-w.
 
I'm kinda sad to see him leave. Even though he is no longer the player he was... he has been with the club a long time and showed loyalty when others like Gehrig jumped ship during the Judge era. Good luck Chad.

Actually Ive been picking on his weaknesses since he came back from his knee recon.

Also dont expect him to stick to a direct opponent :)
 
Morrison got better with every game he played this year - and he will continue to do so next year.
Solid player and i believe a bargain for pick 37

Seems the faithfull have already given him the nickname 'The Chad' on a couple of other sites, but I'll stick with Morro ;)

Sounds like we got him cheap, mind you you owe us from Williams!! :p
 
Thanks guys for the info (LeonMagic) I remember when "Morro" went to the Eagles, I liked him then, one of Micks smokeys, came out of nowhere!!!!!!!! I am pleased we have him. How is Chipper? another of my faves, strung some good ones together Great Stuff!
 
Chad was always one of my favourites playing up forward in the late Nineties - you could always expect him to snag a couple of goals in difficult away games. Played for the Dandenong Southern Stingrays, so back with family, although he wasn't really one of those whingers. He always had great respect for Mick.

I saw his first game - a pre-season one at Waverley (17 I think he was), turned out of a pack on 55, dummied and put it straight through and I thought who the hell was that?

Sadly, two knees in a row is a difficult thing to overcome. He seems to have lost pace and turn because of them, though he played a lot of games for us last year.

He now plays (or did for us) as a sort of unaccountable HBF who gets a fair bit of the ball, but doesn't do much with it. I don't feel we'll lose anything by not having him in our 22, but am sad to see him go on a personal level.

Im sad to see Morro go. Been apart of our team for a good while, but I wish him all the best for the future. He played very well this season and has overcome many obstacles to make a great comeback! GOOD LUCK MORRO! You will be missed!!!!

Btw, the trend continues with Collingwood getting West Coast players! Williams, Cummings, Rintoul, Morro... who else in recent times has jumped to the Black and White from WC?

Did Broadbridge have a stint on the W.C coaching panel at some stage?? Bluey McKenna is another one. How long till Jakovich gets a gig I wonder ;)

I'm pretty sure Broadbridge has never been with the Eagles.

Woosha got in before Mick and made Jako the development coach starting next season.

On McIntosh, I'd be pretty surprised to see Milli ever take a position at any footy club. Always came across as the kind to walk away from the game and never look back.

You of course had Dean Laidley at Pieland for a while there, his link to Malthouse was obviously through the Eagles too.

Lee Walker was another one that originally was with the Eagles and then went to Collingwood.
 
Damian Adkins as well. Good luck to Morro at the Pies and thanks for the info guys. I remember back in 96 when he was on fire he could have been an All-Australian had his knees held up.
 
Sad to see him go, I was always a big fan of Morrison. Particularly annoying that you I have to watch one of my favourites in that disgusting black and white uniform. Wish he could have managed 2 more games for life membership with the club because he certainly deserves it.

Good player and a bargain for Collingwood IMO.
 
Collingwood did well to get him. He was a good player, had a few good games this year (esp. vs Essendon at Subi).

Good luck to him - he'll be missed.
