After a weekend of drunkardness I am finally ready to talk about quite possibly the worst weekend of football for the MFC in quite some time.

Now that we are missing Rivers, Bruce, Neitz, Sylvia, McDonald, Carroll and possibly Whelan from our side it is definately time to give some youngsters a go.

Bring in Dunn to play up forward (he may be playing reserves atm but hes done alright for Sandy seniors too) and Bate to play as a third tall down back.

Bell needs to be brought in to give us a bit of power in the middle.

We need to give players such as Motlop, Armstrong, Heffernan and Hunter a final opportunity to prove they are worthy of a place on our list in 2006.

As much as I'd like to see Smith get a game this week, he probably needs to get some fitness up so we can properly test him out at senior level.

Enough is enough, lets just try out some untested players in order to be in a better position next season.

with so many outs it will be hard not 2 play a few of the likes of williams, heffernan, godfrey.

also Green is out for 1-2 weeks apparently with a finger injury.

out of Dunn and Bate, who is most ready to play at AFL level?

Get ready to chunder for a week! ;)

I'd love to see the guys mention being given a run, especially with the amount of injuries we have. But the reality is, it won't happen. It just won't. We should all know Daniher and the selection panel all too well by now. The usual names will be brought in that will add nothing to the side. Granted, Dunn and Bate might not be ready, but they could do no worse than the "senior" players are doing now.

What the ins will probably be:

In: Godfrey, Nicholson, Bell, Williams, Brown
Out: Carroll, Neitz, Bruce, McDonald, Whelan

The ins are pretty crap, but that's what will happen.

Luke 'the turnover king' Williams and Simon 'no disposal skills' Godfrey are sure to make the team.
Not to mention Alistair 'who is my opponent' Nicholson and Chris 'I'm Daniher's son' Heffernan.

On the other hand, if I see Daniel Bell waste one more second playing VFL, I will personally kick Daniher's head! I also hope that Armstrong may finally get a run to prove himself. He may be crap, but so are the rest of his teammates.

I can feel it coming along now....

We just have to have a look at how Brisbane has gone this year by blooding an amazing amount of new players - they are all first up starters for the team and has completely reinvigorated the team.

Then again we could play all those mentioned in Adelaide and just leave them in Adelaide.... the possibilities...

Hopefully if they bring in the slop players this week (not that we've got a criminal lack of depth or anything...) and we get destroyed, thus putting the final nail into our coffin, they'll think about ********ing the duds off and putting somebody 'new' (and Steve Armstrong - who at least needs to be put out there for viewing if they're going to try and trade him) in.

I think we should play a couple of kids to give them the experience of traveling and playing against a high quality. I go with Smith instead of Dunn as he most likely got a stronger and more developed body and the lack of match fitness isn't a worry as i would play him out of the goalsquare.

I think its also time to try a few different tactics and players in different positions to catch the Crows unaware and maybe sneak 3 or 4 goals ahead. Maybe Bizzell, White or Ferguson up forward, Green or Yze in the backline and Davey in the middle. But maybe the main thing should be that the best players start on the ground, rather than rotating them around. I think we've been lagging in the first quarter a bit. If we get a few quick ones on the board, it will definitely help the confidence and subsequently players will lift.

Need another inclusion as Green is also out. Why didn't you include Nathan Brown, he should be back.

Hypothetically it might be nice to give a game to Smith, but it won't happen. Bate is a 20% chance to play. They say he's in the mix, but that doesn't usually mean much.

Bell, Nicholson and Brown are the definates from where I sit. Regardless of what happens, they will be selected. The other 3 spots are out of:

Williams, Godfrey, Bate, Jamar, Armstrong, Heffernan

The way they are talking, Godders will probably get a run, and god only knows where we go from there!

Actually, here are the changes I'd love to see:

In: Wight, Schwarz and Lyon (94 versions), Viney, Seecamp (loved that guy!), Tingay

Out: Bruce, Neitz, Whelan, McDonald, Carroll, Green

Only in a perfect world! :(
I want Phil Gilbert, Allen Jakovich and Darren Cuthbertson just for my own selfish requirements :D

How the hell could I forget little Ricky Jackosn? He was my fave player when I was 6 years old!

And if we are going for our own personal players... no, I won't add "Disco" Lamprill! ;)
