Changes for Adelaide game

I wasn't too happy about that, either, but there is no other choice of a midfielder to drop for Houli. People say Slattery, but he's needed the the backline.

Watson? No
McVeigh? No
Stanton? No
Hislop? No
Lonergan? No
Jetta? Counter-productive (dropping him, that is)
Winderlich? Only if he's injured
Lovett? No

That leaves Gus.

Nash didn't have the greatest game and it would destroy Monfries' confidence to drop him just as hes starting to get a bit of the ball and is improving steadily. Houli is a perfect replacement for him, gives us a bit of class coming out of the backling

In: PLEASE LUCAS IN THIS WEEK!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!! , Houli, Michael
Out: Slattery, Daniher.

Whoever wants Nash out really is a idiot.

As long as Dyson isn't in I don't mind

Ins: Lucas, Houli

Outs: Daniher (develop him in the VFL, he has had a taste of AFL), Jetta OR Slattery, lean towards Slattery as I don't see a matchup for him this week.
Wouldnt be a bad matchup for Jason Porplyzia I reckon.

Daniher needs to go back and have a run for Bendigo before he loses all confidence in his game.

On principle Reimers should be dropped on tonights performance but he wont be.

Agreed with Welsh, he was horrible.

I don't understand where Jetta is for three quaters of the game because he manages to remain completely unsighted.

Jetta is a typical leon davis type of player when the pressure is on he will be nowhere to be found

Yep, I want to add my support for Nash. I see him as being amongst the very best prospects we have (agreed it has been a disappointing start to the season, but I thought he was good this week).

NLM has to be under a lot of pressure - perhaps only a shift back to attack would see him in the team for Adelaide...

In: Lucas Michael Houli Johnson Dyson Bellchambers
Out: Welsh McPhee Monfries Slattery Nash NLM

Welsh: Ive seriously had enough of him. Used to be my favorite player. The only reason he is getting a game is because we have a long injury list. He is too slow, his disposal is appauling. Wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't in the red and black next year.

McPhee : Read Welsh

Monfries: Love this kid but is just lacking a bit of confidence at the moment, as is most of the team but he is a concern. This kid can play no doubt about it. He would be better suited in the midfield i reckon. During the pre-season get him doing a lot of running, build his motor so he can be one of those in-and-under type players.

Slattery: Going through the Adelaide forward line couldn't really think of a ideal match-up for him.

Nash: Needs to work on disposal

NLM: His last quarter was fantastic last Saturday night but again unfortunately one quarter of football isn't going to keep you in the side. Too unaccountable.

INS:

Lucas: They will pick him but I'm pretty sure he won't play. Save him for the Hawthorn game. But if he does play be good to see him back out there again.

Michael: Actually agreed with an earlier post. Play Mal in the forward line. Not at FF because that's where Lloyd plays his best footy out of the square so leave him there but maybe Mal across half forward.

Houli: Automatic In

Johnson: We need some hardness at the ball. Don't give a flying F___ what the fat controller (horsburgh) said we need to play JJ because of his hardness at the football.

Dyson: Need a ball winner. Gets the ball a lot just needs to use and id be willing to take that risk with him.

Bellchambers: Perfect time to play the kid. Against a young duo at Adelaide in Maric and Griffen. So now would be a perfect time to see what the kid has and if he can put pressure on Lazycock and try and keep that position

i disagree with pretty much most of that, welsh i think he is okay, its a funny thing bigfooty everyone critisises disposal for pretty mcuh every player but could it be the options up forward arent working hard enough? pretty much every player on our list has been accused of poor disposal this year when other years some werent.
welsh and mcphee are fine in my books especially mcphee... leads hard, works tirelessly and set up a few goals on the weekend.. as for monfries i think that was one of his best games for a long time, certainly best for this season... dropping him after that would be pretty much saying this is your last year at essendon.

as for slattery nash and NLM i agree i think they all should be outs for next week. only problem with slattery out is we have no stopper or small defender then which means hislop will most likely play back and personally i would prefer he is on the ball 100% of the game.

also bellchambers is not ready for the afl yet, give him the whole year at bendigo imo, give laycock some game time and if he doesnt deliver he is traded at seasons end

dyson aswell is not ball winner that could be his main critisim, he doesnt get enough of it, he should be averaging 20+ possessions, instead i think he would be down to less than 15. given how much confidence knights shown him by giving him a 2 year contract he should be delivering and he is not

for me

outs: NLM, slattery, nash, daniher (he has had his time, and is not quite up to it yet)
ins: lucas, micheal, houli, laycock.

laycock back into the ruck so ryder can play back, give him a few games to boost his trade value if nothing else

Below is the changes i would like to see
ins: Houli, Bachar
Laycock, Jason
Lucas, Scott

Outs:
Lovett-Murray, Nathan
Jetta, Leroy
Daniher, Darcy

It's a bit better structure down the spine and if we are to persist with this run handball game (i wish we wouldn't) we desperately need a strong spine with a decent CHF. The problem is Winderlich, sometimes he is playing on the half back flank and other times he is getting dragged down back and he is not a backmans ring hole. And the big LLC (LayLazyCock) needs a shot of viagra and to get a few games to see if 1. he is up to it 2. Build trade value 3. Protect Paddy's future.... Paddy really struggled in the ruck on saturday and it effected him for the rest of the game, he is better off playing key position back.

Anyway just my thoughts.

In
Lucas - speaks for itself
Houli - Part of our future and needs games
Pears - Again like houli
Mal - Will have a match up this week

Out
NLM - would even make me look good on the footy field
Welsh - Stop trying to be pretty and get a kick- too busy worrying about looking good with his fake tans and has lost all his hardness. Them boots are ridiculous, dont worry about the color - worry about using them to get a kick. If reimers wasnt part of our future he should be dropped for the same reason, white or black boots only
Jetta - 4 touches isnt enough
Daniher - needs to regain form and get a bit more leg speed

You dont just 'get a bit more leg speed'. Thats ridiculous. Agree that he might need to drop back to the reserves for form and confidence. Leg speed will only improve over the pre season when it can be a major focus.

Laycock doesn't deserve a spot in the seniors until he can show at least half the heart that Hille gives. I would rather see bellchambers get a chance before Laycock spends another game walking around like hes not interested.

Our defence really needs to do what they are paid to do and start defending. Paddy needs to play CHB. He has been exposed in the ruck last few weeks and you can see the confidence in his play dissapearing.

Slats should be given a tagging role cause can't play in the back half, his one-on-one work is costing us in side our defensive 50.

If scotty is back it will be a massive in and we need to get the ball in quick and long. Forget trying to hit up leads as we just cannot hit our targets. Get it in quick to give llyod and lucas a chance and if they can't take the grab then we need to bring it to ground where jetta and lovett can to do what they do best.

Unsure what to do with Jetta. Ever since coming back from injury he has been very poor. Needs to show more willingness for the ball. Loved his tackling on the weekend but he didnt do enough around the ground. Maybe a run in the reserves will pick up his confidence. Id leave him in for one more week.

He's leading the League in Clangers.... I remember he was a good kick last season, but what happened!

Yeah. I rememer Nash being one guy you could rely on by foot. I don't think he's forgotten how to kick or lost his skills. I think he'll come good.

For the record, I dont think Dyson is a chance of coming in this week. He was rushed to hospital with appendicitis where I believe he had surgery.

Source is a close family friend of his. I think he would have been a good in against Adelaide, someone who can run and break the lines would be good against Adelaide.

For the record, I have a plethora of reasons why Dyson shouldn't be coming back this week... or next... or... Source is my own eyeballs!

OUT: Daniher, Slattery, NLM
IN: Houli, Michael, Pears

Would also like to see Bellchambers get a run soon. Playing well for Bendigo from all reports and I'd like to add to the pressure on Laycock to stand up.
