It is important to show the younger players that when they are in the senior side and they drop off even the slightest then they will be dropped back to the seconds and be replaced with another player who has been challangeing for their spot. Also for them to regain their spot on the senior side they must prove they want to get back there through their performance in the VFL.

You contradict your point there though, Pettifer has not had "Great" form at Coburg like he should, he doesn't show defensive pressure like we have been enforcing over the last few weeks, Pettifer is why we were so bad previous to the Fremantle game, he should not be brought in, Edwards has been servicable and for a 19 year old with 21 games under his belt he is doing fine, these guys wont get better playing at Coburg.

McGuane OUT!? Are you kidding me? He has really been the only defender to hold his head high in the last two games. I have been super impressed with, esspecially after his bad start to the season. Comprehensivly beat Kozi 2 weeks ago and then did the same to Hawkins this week, before beeing moved on to Mooney who was killing Thurstfield. The fact that Mooney kicked only 1 goal today, doesn't justify how much he killed Thurstfield.

I thought Newman played a much better game after he probably got a rocket from Plough over his last couple of games. Bowden was also useful upfoward kicking two, setting one up (also gave two of to Tambo and Cotchin on silverplates which they both ____ed up)

Edwards: Really did nothing today and has been failry coasty in the senior team this year. Probably will get a gig though because he is indegenios.
McMohan: Whats the difference between his game today, and the first couple of rounds Bowden played? Bowden was more effective. McMohan's shitty disposal let them back into the game late in the second quater. I though this guy was meant to be a good kick?

Pattison (Cartlege): Obviously we will need a second ruck and Patto will be first in line. However, if Cogs is put on the LTI, I would like to see Cartlege get a crack because he is just a class above VFL
JON or Polo/Collins: If JON isn't injured I would like to see him get a game, as its dreamtime at the G if Edwards gets dropped, JON would be an obvious replacement. He would also offer the run off half back that McMohan would have. If not its time Polo gets another call up, or a Collins debut. They have both been good in the magoos recently

Under the pump:
Hyde may make way, as he got molested by Ablett today, however I think he earnt enough Browny points the last couple of weeks. He could also be used as a tag on Stanton who is another one of these outside running types. Jackson would probably get the call up as a tagging option if Hyde gets dropped

Riewoldt might be dropped for Schultz and Morton for Pettifer or Hughes. But I wouldn't be too harsh on these guys as today was no day for marking fowards. They both need a good game next week though

Normally would agree with you RT, though today was'nt a day for forwards and really Riewoldt and Morton should be given a chance next week, and perhaps the week after to redeem themselfs before they are dropped.Seen a lot passengers at Richmond get free rides/games before they were sent to the magoo's,Hyde played a shocker so drop him he's had a few chances,....P.S. i hope your not including JON cause it's DREAMTIME.

With Hyde out we need another defensive midfielder. Jackson or Polo could come in to mix things up a bit. Need to make some changes considering we haven't won since round 4.

Hmm perhaps we don't need another defensive midfielder considering we are playing Essendon. Perhaps Hyde out for JON and play McMahon on the wing.

JON kicked the ball perfectlly to some players today and they dropped the ball. I guess I was suprised by the irony that JON was so accurate for a change and the players he kicked it to dropped absolute sitters.

Yeah was a bit like that but wasnt it amazing!! His kicking was bloody beautiful like finding a man on the chest in between 3 opponents if he was the only option. Holding it up and waiting for openings. Disappointing for him having to sit so much out with injury concern. Collins and JON deserve a gig.

Not including JON because it is Dreamtime, more that his form in recent weeks warrants a chance at senior level.

Even though Jordy picks up a heap of possesions, he makes costly turnovers which result in direct goals, and has no accountability for his direct man. Week in the 2's should sort him out IMO.

Hyde has been useful as a stopper, but thats it. Give him the ball and it's back to circle work clangers. We have not won a game since round 4 and we need to change things up a bit so Hyde is certainly an option to be dropped.

That is his job in the team.

We aren't losing because of him. We've played the 3 undefeated teams and St. Kilda who are our bogey team (Should have won it). I don't think we'll see many changes at all.

Yeah but surely we can do better than Hyde as a stopper. They still need to do something more. Look at Stenglein, K.Cornes, Ling, Sewell, Rawlings, Kirk etc.

I think Jackson offers much more to the side in addition to being an effective stopper.

Just wondering about your thoughts on a youngster i have been watching down at Coburg. Andrew Horne. Just wanted your thoughts on him and weather he is a chance to be picked up in the rookie draft this year, seems to be playing some good footy down there and just wanted your thoughts on him seeing as you guys would watch Coburg more than myself.

Agree Sante. Who else would have stopped Ablett? Pretty much every other team doesn't have someone who can stop him either. His body strength is tremendous. Jackson's disposal is poor - if he replaces Hyde we sacrifice skill and the odd goal. McGuane dropped too? Harsh.

What rubbish, Hyde's skills are just as bad as his decision making. Put him under pressure or force him onto his right foot and you can guarantee a turnover. Hyde has been given his chance and it's time to see whether Jackson is up to it. If he isn't then both should be delisted at the end of the year.

personally would think, and hope, if fit Schultz and Pato will definately be back in and possibly either Rance or JON for McMahon, and maybe Connors for Edwards ???
