Changes for first final

Barring a late change, the only way this really makes sense is if Simmo is hoping to capitalise on the Dogs' lack of tall defenders. Still think he might just be drunk though
Very strange decision - that makes 8 talls. Aren't the Bullies a fast running smaller side so why would you bring in Brown for Jetta? The Gods aren't shining upon us as we could have done with Jetta's speed. As someone else said they must be worried that Lycett could break down during the match. If Lycett doesn't come up then I guess Nelson will come in, which will really mean Brown in for Lycett and Nelson for Jetta. Well Yeo it's your time to shine as if on song he's the one player with a bit of X factor. Please don't go MIA!!

Now that Barrass has popped up as an intercepting marking beast, Simmo is gonna unleash plan A. One lock down defender (Brown), one tall intercepter(Barass) and one tall runner / one on one (schoey). Leaving darling leading up the wings and McGovern Forward...
Time to **** shit up

I love plan A! All those years of bombing the ball forward are about to pay off. Genius.

Makes more sense but we like playing silly buggers maybe .
Every which way I look at it, it doesn't make sense. The only reasoning that I can come up with is that Lycett is half cooked so in case he goes down during the game, Brown can take over. But even that doesn't really make sense either.

Friends time to get with the contemporary ways. All this needless jostling and umming about flimsy old positions. Positions are dead and dusted, any coach will tell you that. What you're seeing here is a club at the forefront of a new era of strategic manipulation. We've no heed for locales:
We're releasing the Gov.
Thats nice. THen what the hell are we doing with Brown in the side.

?

Brown has finals experience. He'll play back and pinch hit in the ruck. Lycett forward all game pretty much just standing there to get the ball to ground or taking a defender out of the space for JK.

Brown can also fit into the web allowing Gov forward. Or Wellers to the wing.

Browns first final tomorrow.

Simmo said he was going to try a different ruck set up maybe this is it Brown the versatile all rounder come Ruckman.

He's there to take someone out ...legally of course and if he gets a week it's ok

I'm not sure why he's been recalled ...my only thinking ...scott Lycett might be a late withdrawal is my thinking

He's very versatile
Haha sure...he's a shit forward, shit ruckman and a passable backman (only due to his injury comeback, otherwise he's good).

Awesome asset to have in a final.

From WCE website:
Ruckman Scott Lycett, who pulled up sore after the Adelaide victory, proved his fitness during the week and will be supported by the re-born Jonathan Giles, who was a valuable contributor against the Crows.
