Is Wills' quad that bad? What a shocking run this year for him.

With 1:53 left to go Blair went for a pack mark on his bloody knees. He got up and chased then fell over.
At the subsequent boundary throw in and then ball up, look at his goal side positioning. What was he thinking there?
At the boundary throw in with 1:00 left he trails his man to the ball giving him a free run to attack the contest.
At the ball up with 50 seconds to go Blair wins possession and looks initially to take on the tackler... Hypothetically if he did break four tackles and break free what was the next part of the plan? All our forwards were deep and there was no-one ahead of him?
Concedes the free kick and can't defend the mark properly letting Lynch kick on the 50 rather than from behind the mark.
When Langdon kicks long look where Blair has positioned himself. Fifth deep in the pack.
It's is literally like playing with 17 men on the field when Blair plays.

I think you are trying too hard to find mistakes in Blair. He tries hard and isn't good enough anymore but on Sunday he clearly played his role to an acceptable level. Not sure why so many are hell bent and finding every minute fault in his game. We know what he is and where he stands. With 1:53 left to go Blair went for a pack mark on his bloody knees. Not sure why so many want Thomas out. Has been good since came in, accurate kick of ball hard at it. Yeah bit down yesterday but still in top 22 at moment.
Obviously Blair should have been ended years ago.
Was invisible for the first half when we were dominant, did a couple of good things in the second half, then gave away a crucial free kick in the dying moments of the game through incredibly poor decision making for the second time this year.I think you are trying too hard to find mistakes in Blair. I don't think anyone is disputing that was a mistake. Its the bias in the descriptions that I disagree with. Overall he did his job yesterday even though he was lucky to have a spot in the 1st place. I find it hard to have such strong feelings against a Collingwood player who has only ever given 100% and maxes out his talent. For me thats always been an admirable quality. His day is done, think we all agree on that, I just don't get the need to harp on about all his mistakes and find it so hard to acknowledge any positive contribution he makes.I admire the wee man
BUT
He insists on trying to take on too many men and constantly gets caught red hot holding the ball.
He isn't good enough to run around a traffic cone let alone slip a man, let alone two or three as he regularly tries to do.
I would not be upset if they offered him a Rookie spot next year.I don't think anyone is disputing that was a mistake. Its the bias in the descriptions that I disagree with. I get other people see it differently and cant stand him or what they see him symbolising but I see that differently. I admire him like you.
Liking that.
I would like to see Cox in there somewhere for the rest of the year though - not sure how best to achieve that though while subbing like for like. Goldy deserves his spot but I'd like to see how we go with Darcy CHB and Cox CHF. Darcy really impressed me close up yesterday around kick ins etc....
Seriously GC it's up to the coaching group to smash the idea of taking on opponents in that way out of his head. It happens far too often and it always ends up ugly for the team.I don't think anyone is disputing that was a mistake. Its the bias in the descriptions that I disagree with. Yep.I think you are trying too hard to find mistakes in Blair. ..... We know what he is and where he stands.
Agree, its a recurrent mistake. At this point I think we are seeing his last one or two games and I doubt it changes. He has clear flaws in his game but has maximised what anyone with his ability can hope to achieve. God given talent is luck of the draw, making the most of what you have is down to the person and I admire anyone who does the best with what they have in their field.Seriously GC it's up to the coaching group to smash the idea of taking on opponents in that way out of his head. Within his limitations he is serviceable but he must be made to understand his limitations and penalized when he flouts them.
