Geez, who knows.

Okay, Yarran and Kreuzer both rolled ankles and may be rested if there is any discomfort at all. Walker will possibly be one inclusion and Hampson will come in if Kreuzer misses as Hammer only had a virus.

There's not many names that I can think of that 'deserve' to be taken out of the team, honestly. I came in not really expecting anything from Sammy Jacobs, and even he delivered.

Ratts will definately want to win next week

We need to keep confidence on the rise, and to beat last years premiers would be great for self belief

I expect a strong team to be selected again.

Judd will play but with less game time

I think we will win again

Not sure we'll make many changes at all, to be honest.

Most of the guys we had playing on Friday night did their job fairly well and noone really deserves to be dropped.

Yarran and Kreuzer should both play but if they are still sore in a few days time then they should be rested. There is absolutely no point in risking them so if there is still some doubt then there is no reason not to rest them.

I'd like to see ROK and Browne in the team so someone like AJ or Joey may be pushed out of the side but they would consider themselves unlucky if it happened.

Hammer is another option and would play if Kreuzer didn't get over his ankle in time. He won't come in for Sauce, though, who won't be dropped.

That's about it. Judd will play.

When I heard that Melb lead all game I thought to myself, great that means we are semi finalists, then I heard that the Hawks came back hard and won and I wondered which I preferred. Logic overtook emotion and I am glad we play the Hawks. The NAB is of no importance, it is just a way to improve the team for the coming season. Beating Melbourne would be of no great value, but playing the Hawks win or lose is of great benefit to the team. We will get a good idea where we are.

I think the back half needs to be left alone. The longer they all play together the better they will gel and the more effective they will be. The changes we need to make are to the forward structure. Not because it didnt work Friday night but to be sure we have other options when it doesnt. I would like to see Fish come in and maybe Edwards. I would like to see Hartlett play but I dont think he will be over his knee yet, or fit enough. I would even go so far as saying rest Fev. We all know he can play, but can we play well enough without him. Having said that, I am sure Fev will be fairly keen to play against the Hawks.

If Tex is fit he could have a run although I seem to remember Ratts saying NAB round 3 for Tex. Browne if he is fit could have a run. Krueze could be rested even if he is over the niggle he had and Hammer come in, as I think we should keep playing Jacobs as he will probably struggle to break in once Warnock is fit and we need to see if he is up to it, but he needs to lift his mobility and do more around the ground, and if Yarren is over his rolled ankle he should definately play again, we need to see what he can do. I also think we should keep playing Garlett. It would be good to see 3 nippy players like Yarran, Garlett and Eddie crumbing together.

I think Anderson needs to work on his skills or decision making, he seemed to turn it over a lot, same with Bentley so they can be dropped for the next one. But other than that, all dropped will be stiff, they didnt play poorly enough to warrant it, and we need to try different combinations. But we need to remember the real benefit of NAB games, and that is in competition training.

So in summary, Anderson, Bentley, Krueze out; Fish, Browne, Edwards in this week.

I want to see Fevola omitted, if not this week then definetly next week. Lets test our mids and see how they cope with inside 50's without Fevola as the focal point. Plus it would be a handy experiment to see how we go if Fev does go down during the year.

Play him for a half, but otherwise agree.

Any news on AW? And personally I want the Hawks to play a good strength team. We need to find out where we are at against the premiers. I think Yarran and Kruz might get a rest.

Out: Bentley: (I've seen enough already)
Anderson: He is not going anywhere I feel.
Judd: Rested
Jacobs: Hampsons turn

In: Hampson: Needs a run
Browne: Still don't know why he wasn't there
Fisher: For the run
Edwards: Why not?

Carlton will beat Hawthorn on one proviso:
They must believe they can. NAB cup only I know, but I would like to see a win here against the Hawks.
A come from behind win would be just what is needed.

His kicking is horrible isn't it!

Also Hammer I think will come in Yarran will come out(precaution and to get him of the spotlight) Kreuze(precaution) and I reckon our ROK will get a go this week.

Good point.

I'd imagine we'd make 2-3 changes. We shouldn't be risking Yarran, even if he is 100% fit

If Yarran is fully fit i think we need to get him on the ground to see just how well he can play. He's played two games and come away from both games worse off,I hope the kid isn't going to be an injury prone player.
Needs a good game to build his confidence i would imagine.

Who do you think they will leave out of next week and bring in ?
I think those who will come in are: Browne, Hadley, Hampson, Austin & Fisher. That's 5 in.
You remember that Ratts has stated he is looking for players who can Kick. On that basis; Bentley & Anderson will be dropped. Although Bentley looks like he may be a player.
They may give Yarran & Kreuzer an extra weeks rest. Maybe Armfield will go out to give Browne a try. That's 5 out.

Kreuzer wont play

Browne will play
Banno will play

I would love to see Stanton and ROK in. I say rest Judd, Kreuze, Bentley and Yarran and in Stanton, ROK, Hammo and Browne
