Changes for Prelim

If he is I think it will be at the expense of Scooter or McGinnity. Which I wouldn't mind too much.

Think we need a defender in our three emergencies in case one goes down in the warm up.
Ellis, Butler, Shep and Wellingham, dare I say it we may be covered if something goes awrý...

Newman can impact the scoreboard and will not be pushed off the ball by Norths big midfielders during bursts on ball.

Definitely would prefer Newman over Ginners and Smellwood but the VC probably goes in for any warm up mishap...

Absolutely no chance that Newman comes in for a Prelim final, none. He's played what, 2 games as the Sub, done very little, and you want him to come in and play in the biggest game of the year, plus you want him to go through the middle:confused: in who's place?? Selwood and McGinnity likely come out for Priddis & Masten, nobody else is coming out of the team, unless due to injury. Hutchings has more than proven himself over the last few weeks, and as much as Selwood cops shit, he played probably his best game for the year against the Hawks, & that's still not enough to save him.

I'm excited as to what Newman can provide for the team in the future, but that's more next year and beyond. To want a guy who's hardly played all year, to come into a side that just belted the reigning premier, with 2 of it's best mids waiting to come back in is complete madness.

The 4 defenders you mentioned are already in the team.

We always play 7 defenders - think we would want cover in case one our 7 went down so we can keep our structure.

Im warm on the Priddis and Masten for Selwood Ginners but madness aside I would love to have Murray in as emergency at least.

I think he could genuinely impact as sub and moreso than any other.

Not having a go at Muzz, but I just don't think now is the time to throw him into it, could be an absolute liability. Far more experienced players have wilted under the pressure of big finals, and it could really ruin him if it did happen.

Let him watch on, and strive to be in the team in the future, for what looks to be a sucessful period.

That too could prove to be the better method, I do however like the Wright and McMillan match up for Murray and the man knows how to win his own ball.

Have a good feeling about Murray and finals, not really sure why.

Did anyone for a moment mention barrass as a third tall option .....is he injured

Not saying he should have played but I'm curious if he was discussed at match committee

That's my one small gnawing worry with the three talks they have ...just a late though

I think Elliot yeo will play a fair bit back this week ....he plays 195 cm as a defender because of his leap ..?He can leap off two steps ...I suppose I've answer d my own curiosity lol

But I do wonder if barrass was at all discussed at the match committee

Sinclair has been a bit sore, interesting. North have quite a few talls as well. I'm sure Sinclair will be saying he's 100%

After this many games into the year everyone is carrying a niggle .....north would have niggles and soreness in players

It's who can handle it ...I reckon shuey is carrying a small foot fracture ......I reckon everyone has some niggle by now

I reckon they considered emac before barrass for this cut throat final. He had a couple howling moments in the wafl prelim

Fair enough

What was tough and people need to remember this ...he didn't have gov or Schofield together with him ...he got gun forwards each time

I like barrass and think he will be fine player ...he's a good athlete
