I don't see why people have such a fascination with dropping Butler. He's playing as a small defender, basically in the absence of Nicoski. If you think he's not doing a good enough job at that then fine, but pick someone to take that spot rather than automatically pick a midfielder like Cockie.

I made this point also. Spangher may not be required this week depending on what lineup Essendon go for as regards to matchups. Wilson in for Hansen. The rest may survive.

I think its just another one of those "go by the stats" things... people just think of Buts as a midfielder, see he's getting low double digit possessions and whinge "oh he doesnt get enough of it as a midfielder - drop him"... rather than realising hes being played as a small defender and judge him, and suggest replacements, based upon his performance in THAT position, or our need for him in that position vs Essendon based on matchups etc

Noooo. Thinking about it, has Hansen been injured at all this year? Usually he misses about 1/3 of the season through injury... I can't recall him being out for injuries this year, just poor form.
