Re: Geelong Round 2 team

King before Polo.
WTF, I am just ****ing pissed off at this, Polo is bigger, smarter, more skilled and just ****ing better.
FFS what are these clowns doing

Re: Geelong Round 2 team

wallace must be tanking. thursfield is a gun yet gets dropped instead of moore or mcguane.

then they bring in nahas, king and keep edwards for the chihuahua squad.

cant believe a player like hislop gets a game before polo.

WTF on Polo?

What does he have to do?

Was spectacular last week. Odd that we would bring in Hislop and Nahas who will both play foward and only running defenders even though and Raines McMohan are gone. I hope Rance shows something

I do understand King comming in as he at least adds some heart but how does Polo not come in for Jackson on Edwards?

King in the back pocket makes me feel physically ill.
If their is one team you can not afford poor skills and decision making in nyour defensive half of the ground...

Just go with the flow cogs, I am appalled to see Polo not it but if you think about it too much you might do yourself some damage

Whats happened to Thursfield? Was looking like a good prospect down back but hasn't really had a look in so far, is he injured?

Had a inconsistent off-season with niggles here and there. Was rusty last week. Enough to be ajudged needing a spell.

Perhaps, but Jake King the midget against bloody Geelong.

I just hope we don't have unrealistic expectations on Rance and Nahas and to a lesser extent Hislop. Most posters think Rance is the goods and Nahas has some support, Let's give these fellas a chance :thumbsu:

I'm not going to judge Kingy yet, but if he performs poorly lets just hope its not a King IN, McMohan out then the next week McMahan IN and King OUT, etc, etc. Reminds me of the Tiva/Hyde combo we had last year.

Btw...McMohan = Gawwwnnn

Where IS POLO? You are clearly deluded Wallace. I'm sorry I cant understand hislop and king in before Polo.
Just come out and say that polo was bangin ur missus so at least we will understand.

Happy to see Rance get a game for you guys hope he goes well. Surprised Thomson never got a game.

Also no Polo, Terry must have a personal vendetta against that poor bloke.

Ok lets not carry the "Why King instead of Polo ?" line to far.

It is fair to ask why Polo and who knows he might get his chance next week, but lets look at this post from RG on the Coburg thread last week and it seems that other the polo the selections are correct - good call RG.

The blokes who realistically put their hands up were Polo, Rance and King. Hislop, Cogs, Nahas aren't far away.

if you watch all the practice game you would have seen moore and mcguane werent setting the world on fire, so i cant understand why there best defensive player is dropped.

This has to be a joke, where are the cameras? Our main problem is lack of foot skills - turnovers. Jake King turns the ball over as much as McMahon if not more. Rance is a goer but he can turn it over a lot too to be honest, he needs to work on his disposal. Would of selected Polo and an underdone Coughlan, Thomson, Connors and even Collins before King. Hislop was BOG in Coburg match so he's okay. Thursfield shouldn't have been dropped and Edwards should have.

I think we may end up turning the ball over more than last week due to we haven't chosen the right selections and Geelong are the best pressure team in the competition. That lineup is going to get killed, Geelong by 85 points. :thumbsu:
