Kilpatrick is out, we know that, but who will come in for him?

They say Sando is a 70/30 chance to return, but I don't know, calves are dodgy injuries and we wouldn't want to risk one of our best players.

I'd guess that maybe Josh Hunt will return. I'm not too sure on playing a lot of kids against such a good side in Brisbane. But if they were to promote one, it would be either Kelly or Johnson.

Catman,

We need runners to go with the awesome Brisbane midfield and with Kilpatrick out, here is the perfect opportunity to promote James Kelly!!

I wouldn't be risking Sando unless he's 100% fit, so hopefully Kelly will get his chance.

Go Cats!!

I would like to see Steve Johnson get a game. I think hes more than ready. Hes been playing well in the VFL for a long time now (5 weeks ;) ) and is ready to make the journey, to run out on the field for the senior catters :)

Also White SHOULD be dropped, but we won't go into that.

I think Kelly will play and if theirs another spot up grabs don't be surprised to see O'Brien in their after his 5 goal haul in the reserves, but i'd prefer to see S. Johnston before O'Brien.

I think that there maybe only 1 change, to replace the injured Kilpatrick and that will be Josh Hunt.

I have my doubts that Sanderson will pay for another 1-2 weeks, didnt he injure his calf pre season and he missed 5 weeks ????

I Hope that Wolly is going to play againt the Hawks at the G in round 7.

David Wojcinski has done really well I thought since he's come back into the side after injury. He provides lots of run off half back and I think he has the potential to be a good player for us for many years. :)

Seindude, the pleasure is all mine... ;)

I've been reading the boards for some time now, and I have decided sign up :)

But I personally believe Mitchell White doesn't earn his spot in the side, also I believe that he is over the hill, and was a waste of a recruit ;)

yeah welcome Ronnie, I'm like you been reading the posts for ages but only signed up a little while back...

Mitchel White earns his spot just by quality leadership, with all the young players we need a good general, and if you take notice he even tells Graham what to do.
Personally speaking to Mark Thompson he was bragging about Whites football smarts.

I say leave him their his a help even playing below his best

He was good the 1st week, but struggled last week because he injured his ankle on the Moorobool St wing late in the 2nd qtr [I think].

Even if he is a leader, he still has a job to do. I may be a little harsh on him since he is just coming back from injury, but he doesn't take consistent contested marks. Whenever he kicks a goal, hes always 20 metres out, free with no oppononet on him, or near his vacinty, in other words... a soft goal. He was a good player at West Coast, but he was never going to be at his best when he came to Geelong, the draft picks would have been a better option IMHO :)

BTW - Thanks for the welcome mate, as I said to Seindude, the pleasure is mine ;)

We can't judge Mitch on one game back from the twos and from injury. He spent very little time on the ground last week and was never given enough time to get into the game. His leadership is excellent and a recent article had Jarad Rooke praising Mitch for his advice. He probably wont get back to his best but he is valuable in many other ways.

As for getting a 'soft goal', what is wrong with that? He's a forward and they are meant to get goals, who cares how they get them?

Hey nolsey, interesting Sig there...

Did you happen to realise that Bizzell is playing in a key position down BACK for us this year?? He won't be kicking many goals, but he will certainly play alot better than Ablett.

What key position would that be Back Pocket on the 3rd or 4th tall.

He won't be kicking many goals,
Well nothing has Changed unless he's playing Collingwood

But he will certainly play alot better than Ablett.
I would hope he would play better than a youngster that could be still playing with the Falcons and is probably getting 25% of what Bizzell is getting paid

But Cowboy remember this famous quote
And being from Geelong, I have actually PLAYED on Ablett Jr and have watdhed him play on many occasions. He is a good player, but the name enhances that by 5!

So he bloody should, he's 8 years older and has a stack more experience than little Gaz. Your point would have had more credibility if you compared Fizzell to someone of similar experience and ability.

CowboyFromHell,

I have seen a couple of the Melbourne games this season and I agree with you that Clint Bizzel has done very well done back. In my opinion, he's more consistant playing in the backline as opposed to up forward and should be a very handy player for Melbourne if he continues to play the way he has so far this season.

However, comparing him to Gary Ablett Jnr is a little strange... they're totally different players and not only that but one has only played 5 games of AFL football.

I was initially against trading Biz, until I learnt a few things, the only one that I'm prepared to mention here is what he was getting paid. Whilst I think he's a good player, you can't tell me he warranted the 3rd highest pay packet at Geelong in 2001. I'm not sure if economics didn't have a lot to do with the trade?

Anyway, good luck to him, good bloke and one I hope continues to do well at his new footy home.

Your comparing a guy that's had over 6 years to show the goods (and hasn't) to a kid thats had 5 weeks and in those 5 weeks has shown plenty so f#@k off to somewhere like arseh*le.Com
and compare bizzell to some arseh*le cause thats all he is..

Guess who just got reported?? I can take stick, and I don't mind taking it, but that is well out of order. I don't come on these boards to take something like that.

To everyone else.......okay, so I compared Biz to Ablett which was unfair. The point I was TRYING to make was the goals tally, which I thought was a tad unfair to Biz seeing as he plays back. I got carried away with the last part. My apologies!
