Yeo comes in for Duggan - give him a rest as he is still bloody young. He'll come straight back in the week after.
If he's sore then maybe. If he isn't then no

In a 10 goal win he had no inside 50s, no scoring assists and no tackles. Not sure that reflects him being a 'link-up player' or not being 'afraid to put his head over the ball'. As Max zero stated, mostly invisible. Also overstating his role in the derby imo.

It's been 4 games and Yeo can take his place no problem.

Yes. As I said, he was bad today. That doesn't change the good things he's done in other games, especially the derby where he did play that link-up role.

Just not sure why you would want to drop one of our better ball users and keep an honest battler like Hutchings whose role is already filled better by the likes of Priddis and Redden.

Just out of interest how many possessions did jetta get?

10.

Call me biased but I have never been a huge fan of possession counts. I should of listed it for Jetta though.

It's always been my main issue with Masten. Gets the ball and does nothing with it.

34 scoring chains and he was not involved once.

Yes, Jetta spent most of today standing in space calling for cheap little kicks. I don't think he understands our gameplan yet or what the hell he's supposed to be doing out there. If he stays in Simmo may have to reconsider the way he's being used.

I agree I would like to see the ball kicked long with him running into an open forward line or with him isolated in the goalspuare leading out

I'm a jetta fan and am glad we got him but he might as well have not been out there

He was one of our poorer players today no question but he was not our worst. If we are looking to bring Yeo in I don't think he is the one that should make way.

Hutchings with 3 clearances, 5 tackles, 3 i50s and a goal.
Duggan with 2 clearances, 1 tackle, 5 i50s, 1 goal assist and a behind.

Both with less time on ground as well.

In my mind both had better games then Masten.

Jetta may have more scope to bust a game open but masten could easily double his possessions and improve the other stats you quoted.like I said I do like jetta but I would like to see him earn his spot

That's the thing with Masten. He could double his possession count and still finish on 0 tackles, 0 i50s and 0 scoring assists.

He has always been good at finding the ball just has issues doing something productive with it.

Masten one of the only players to get dirty last week.
Jetta was putrid today, does nothing when the ball isn't in his hands. Seems lost out there and has no grit.
Would like to see Jett out for Yeo.
Hutchings deserves to string games together, he's a good enough player. Redden showed a lot as well.

I think Hutch will be out for Yeo though :(

Id drop Jetta and get him to put some actual kilometers on the track down at East Perth. Just a putrid ball watcher at his worst and we can't afford passengers.

I'll repeat what i've said a million times. Play Jetta as a half forward or don't play him, up the ground he has zero incentive to work for possessions. At least as a forward he has to move to find the ball, up the ground he's a stagnant and reactionary footballer who's pace occurs after the effective break away from congestion.

As a back flanker he's a seagull and a defensive liability, on the wing he ball watches. He must be played forward.

I wish it were so easy, but let's assume Yeo is still sick, who's knocking the door down to take his place?

I would be looking at Emac if we weren't playing against Hawkins next week, one time he wrapped up an opponent for absolutely no reason at all and then looked dumbfounded when the ump paid the free against, he looks lost and is back to his worst by foot.

Masten should be dropped for Yeo. He's been turd this year, don't know why we persist with him.

Playing him too soon after a semi serious ankle injury. Masten isn't running as hard and getting as much of it.

Why do coaches pick guys who aren't fit enough based on reputation.

Masten out (managed) Yeo in.

Hutchings played well and we need some bigger bodies v the cats Selwood, Brown and Dangerfield.

Yeah im probably too harsh on duggan there. His first half was good and did few nice thing in the last. But Hutch would be unlucky if he is dropped. Maybe they might give butler a rest to manage his ageing body.
