I think if you need five bowlers, you're giving up enough runs to need six batsmen.
Use the part-timers more if you really need to. Or back "probably the best bowling attack in the world" to do the job, albeit missing one of those bowlers.

Paine was on an overseas tour and in extraordinary circumstances when made captain. It would be ridiculous to make either Head or Wade captain in a home series when under Paine, Australia has just retained the ashes, beaten Pakistan and are one nil up against NZ. He has exceeded expectations as a leader and is the right man for the job at the present.

Who cares about the number of dismissals for a keeper. It's ones you take v the ones you don't. Just because he had Chadd Sayers feeding him regulation catches behind the wicket it doesn't make him the best keeper.

Carey not so bad though after watching Philippe and Harper in the big bash, now there are two absolutely hopeless gloveman.

Nathan Lyon would cry himself to sleep if he had to bowl with any other keeper instead of Paine.
