why Mitchell, was one of our best today
Lashing out as much as anything - Titch deserves his spot over Long probably
I thought he had no impact too and he’s just too slow. He played ok but I don’t see what he brings as a net value.?Watching on TV at a pub so I can't be 100% but gee I thought Mitchell was ordinary tonight, especially in the first half, I thought it showed where he was at against very good opposition, not comparing it against Long as I didn't notice him as much, just my thought without a replay
On tonight's form, can we play either? They were a cut below the GC mids tonight. He was okay, but not among our best.
Is Long's decline because of Titch?
Can we keep playing both?
I told you Coxy was far from finished, Tradey! You wrote him off last week.IN: Howes/Steene Lipinski Hayes Miocheck
Out: Cox WHE Sullivan Markov
Spot on. I thought Cox was a far better proposition against Witts as he is against Gawn.TBH, I think we were trying to judge a few things in this game.
We have Titch, Long, allan, Roan, all vying for midfield positions...
Think tonight was a test run for Titch and Roan.
Wanted to see Roan and Titch again, against high pressure opposition.
Next week I'm sure we will see Allan in to check him out.
Wonderful to see Cox play well.
Great to have him up our sleeve as well. I would play him again next week. I think it is true that Darcy Cameron struggles in ruck contests against very tall ruckmen. Cox might yet prove handy in some games.
I feel like he is definitely impacting Long negatively. The last two weeks have been the same. I don't think we can play both long term, probably why people see that its Long v Mitchell for one position. Is Long's decline because of Titch?
Can we keep playing both?
It’s not Mitchell’s fault Long had no composure ball in hand.He was okay, but not among our best.

That was the absence of Pendlebury I think. The guidance and direction he brings, calms his teammates. It concerns me come finals where composure is key, that we are very Pendlebury reliant. We need him fit and firing in finals.Long's composure was lacking; that's not on Mitchell.
With Mitchell in, we have 2 slow players capable of the 1 job. Is there room for both in the best line-up?

Just to clarify Long lacking composure could be both a Mitchell or a Pendles problem? I think it’s more likely that Long has always lacked composure and just got caught out last night…That was the absence of Pendlebury I think. It’s a Long problem. But it seems he is more confident with the calming guidance of Pendles by his side. That’s my observation.Just to clarify Long lacking composure could be both a Mitchell or a Pendles problem?
