Because they haven't yet guaranteed top 2 or top 4 finish so are going all in now. We don't have to.
Every post in September will be blokes always carry niggles. We don't have to.
3 wins from a premiership
You seem to be ignoring the fact that we HAVE been managing players. And we do have best 23 players injured who are NOT playing.

We haven't guaranteed top 2-4 spot yet either.

this game is top 4 tigers top 2
thinking times come to have a first quarter scoreline like this for a change pies 38 to freo 6
cant remember last time we kicked the first 5 goals in a row
im done with the rope dope crap too
get out there and win from the get go love a half time score line of say 65 pies 16 freo
final scores 122 pies 61 freo

I'm not stressing at all. But I don't like the idea of giving up 4 points for the sake of it.

Cox can't be number 1 ruck against Darcy & Jackson. That's just silly.

No one knows how Nick's ankle has pulled up, so that might be panicking on your behalf.

It would be ludicrous to bring in Howes, who's not AFL ready, alongside Checkers, McStay & Membrey.
I don't like it either giving up.4 points
Everyone out there should be playing to win.
Which is exactly why it's stupid to risk j daicos n daicos Sidebottom Elliot etc till

If they're playing well & fit there's no need to rest them. We managed Checkers & Lippa yesterday. Pendles was sub. We've been doing it all year. We still need to win as many matches as possible to retain top 2 spot.

We've been giving plenty of opportunities to other players due to injuries & whilst managing others. So I think we have been doing what you're suggesting.

Lose last night, then to just give up the game against Dockers whilst we still have Crows, Hawks & Lions to play consecutively, would be very risky, imo.

We still have Beau, Frampton, JDG, Hill (🤞) & now Howe to come back in.

In: Beau, Allan, Lipinski, Mihocek, Parker
Out: Steele, Mitchell, Howe, WHE, Markov

Sidebottom and J Daicos to play more midfield in Mitchell’s absence.

Bruz to play more lock-down with Parker coming in to bolster his usual role.

Beau up forward.

Allan replacing Steele.

Lipinski delivering inside 50m as often as possible.

Long's composure was lacking; that's not on Mitchell.

With Mitchell in, we have 2 slow players capable of the 1 job. Is there room for both in the best line-up?
They do different jobs imo.

Long isn’t really clearances player or a possession getter in tight. He’s better at receiving the ball and then breaking it tackles. Mitchell gets in the thick of it and feeds it out. Their only similarity is they tackle a lot.

I also don’t get the hang up about their pace when the player who Mitchell replaced in the middle Sidebottom is no quicker.

The question shouldn’t be whether they can play together the question should be do we have better alternatives.

Just to clarify Long lacking composure could be both a Mitchell or a Pendles problem? I think it’s more likely that Long has always lacked composure and just got caught out last night…
Long has always lacked composure but usually gets away with it because Nick, Pendlebury and Sidebottom handball it to his advantage on the run or he has one of those ready to receive if he’s given a hospital pass.

Channel 7 news are about to announce that Bobby was back on the track today
This has been one of the more bizarre circumstances around a player. He seems okay mentally, is still showing up to training (which is great). If we ever find out what he was going through I hope it wasn't too horrific for him.

Howe out is a big loss.

In terrific individual form and Bucks recently pretty much insinuated it was Howe more than Moore who lead and organised our defensive line.
Bucks has never liked Moore. Look at 2018

Well considered response. :thumbsu:

Sidey is no bullet, but is a more creative and versatile player than Mitchell. Much better kick and is able to run hard for longer. Taking him out of the middle hasn't worked well, so far.

Long isn't identical to Mitchell but was doing exactly what we needed when he was playing well. There is significant overlap in the job that Titch and Ned are required to do for the club in '25.

As I see it, if by some miracle Jordy returns fit, Tom would be the player to make way (out of the 3 we're discussing).

I love the random add of Parker here! Keep them confused Royal!
