We saw with the Crows how much that affected them, they were gassed by the end of the game but who knows with Brisbane
Definitely

Just need to get into jarred berry so as to get him to give away a few more 50s The look on berrys face when Sidey got the 50 and converted !!.. gold

Our total output on our wins only has been +145 points / +6.04 average goals (+36.2 points) better than our opposition.
Add in the GWS loss, that comes back to +93 points / +2.56 average goals (+15.3 points) better than our opposition.
The Lions total output on their wins has been +16.2 points / +2.7 average goals (+16.2 points) better than their opposition.
So, on balance there's a straight kick either way in it...
If the win only Pies turn up, +6 goals and the madrigal of Pies at the GABBA get the chant ringing early. I get the sense the Pies will be in a mood, so bring on the win-only Pies.
Naicos 30+, JDG 3 goals off the HFF, Hipwood shut out and held goal-less...

the lions wins so far include Richmond and WCE, neither of which were convincing thrashings that one would expect. Last week they gave up a seven goal lead to the Dogs before storming home.

Their other two wins were close wins against better sides including the swans who have started the year indifferently, and the cats at home.

They are winning and playing well but definitely not flying.

Off a five day break they are very beatable.

Have I missed it or has McRae completely dodged the press conference this week by going direct from Adelaide to Coolangatta?
McRae's done his homework on the Lions and doesn't think Nick will cop a tag, so has decided that he shouldn't be tagged by the media this week either.

He’s had one week without a tag or run with…. I’m presuming they may revive Berry’s tagging role but as we saw last week he can break it

This is a good thing for us. Brisbane like to back in their midfield, having a tagger will weaken their run. Let them tag

You can argue that’s what happened last week. Nick did enough to break the tag and have an influence but meanwhile the Swans midfield was operating nowhere near its potential because Warner and Heeney are poor defensively so left paddocks of space for Sidey and Pendles to do their work while Long was beating them on the inside.

I think Brisbane are more versatile in the middle esp Dunkley and Neale who have the potential to punish us out of stoppage, so a hard tag I think helps us release our other players versus everyone head to head.

Someone, probably Dunkley, will be very defensive on him at stoppage. You've got to be. I don't know what they'll do outside of stoppage. I don't think they've got anyone suitable to run with him outside of stoppage.

I think it's why Nick has moved from side of the pack where you're more likely to get first possession to the front of the pack. Their back of the pack guy gets dragged away from there when Nick gets on the move - opening up more opportunity for us to break out the front of the pack as they can't have someone playing as a back of the pack sweeper.

Yep it will be this. Brisbane don't tag though Dunkley normally plays a run with role. In the past he normally runs with DeGoey

Hipwood is a salami of the highest order, would expect Frampton/Moore to cover him with not a lot of trouble.

Daniher was always the one that got hold of us be it playing for Brisbane or Essendon. Although Brisbane are full of superstars, just seem like less of a threat without Joe there.

If... just hypothetically, Howe and WHE are OUTs, what would this mean?

Markov comes in?
Ed Allan into the 22? Or some other in?

I doubt it'd be Mason. We'd end up too big up front, surely?

Probably just overthinking things. Sorry
I’d still like to back in the team that beat the Swans. Even as far as leaving JDG out one more week.

Even having Dunkley running with Nick will advantage us. Dunkley has been a big playmaker for them this year. I'm quite confident about this game
