There's room for both if Reid suddenly turns into a brilliant footballer again at 30, however as soon as his output starts to drop he'll be exposed as a slow tall who's easy to exploit the other way.

Why do we have a preview thread and a changes thread. Why not just one thread that's called "changes and pre-match discussion"... This place confuses me sometimes!

I think a policy of doing this actively discourages posters from putting up detailed preview threads. Last year I went to the effort of putting up some preview threads, which I was hoping could focus more on analysis of the game, only to have them merged into the changes thread. I haven't bothered doing it again. Why go to that effort if that is how your effort gets treated?
