Prediction Changes Round 14 vs Dees

Duggan will move down to the back flank replacing Nelson and Karpany will take Duggan's spot on HFF.

Hill will replace Lecca

Tim Gossage believes that Lycett is a month away from returning and the Eagles want him to play 3 more games at EP.

I just cant see Gawn having the same impact coming back early from a serious hamstring injury.. Vardy is finding some pretty good form right now so i expect him to run him of his feet and then we can use Petrie and Gov to wear him down further.

I guess i can see why Hill was included as he is good for a goal or two with Lecra out but i am happy to see Karpany given a go.

He's been running for the last 5-6 weeks, he's done plenty of conditioning work and that shouldn't be an issue.

Sounds like simmo got a bit antsy over Lecras
I wana a journo to ask simmo the following:

ok Lecras was goalless. who cares. lets ask the following:

how much ground did he cover in KM's??
how many goal assists
how many tackles inside fifty
what was his kicking efficiency??
how many turn overs??
any 1%'s??
what the **** did he do?? apart from being a dead meat.
he didn't kick a goal. but had 18 touches. simmo analogy can be used here too. touches do not mean everything unless they are effective. Since he said goals are not everything. what is?? If he can answer the above questions then I leave him alone.

Pretty good reasoning but I reckon our MC will be loathe to make 3 changes to a winning side. Only forced changes I think.

Unfortunately I think Haggers is probably right on JK. My gut feel on the vision and the "pop" description at the time was an 8-10 weeker so i was pretty surprised when they talked about him getting up for Geelong.
Having suffered from calf injuries myself, they are never easy to get over particularly as you get older. Don't they call it an old mans disease in football terms?

I think you need to look at the second sentence of that tweet.

We get it, ok. LeCras has been off form...

Lecras with a hip injury. Yeah, right.
I've heard he's been carrying this injury for weeks so there may be some truth to it. Think they may have been selecting him injured or otherwise which hasn't been the smartest move either for the team or Le Cras himself. If he doesn't get selected to play for EP will tell the true story, as if he's been dropped then you would think he would be lining up for EP.

My opinion is that if that was the case it's no mitigating factor - if you're not fit, you don't play. 'Feeling an added sense of responsibility is no reason to take the spot of someone else who might contribute if you can't.

I am similarly disappointed that Darling ended up playing against the GC for those reasons. The players need to have it drilled into them that if you make the decision to play when you can't go at the level required, you're hurting the team and that's on you.
Think the blame may be more at the match Committee/Medicos for selecting them fit to play, rather than the players themselves, as by this stage of the season most players are playing with a niggle anyway.

It can be both. Players aren't always up front with the medicos about how much pain they're in

Scott Selwood made his ankle injury worse by hiding the pain he was in. I also reckon Judd did the same on his last year because he knew he was leaving and didn't want to let the club down

Their intentions can be honourable, brace even, but run the risk of being counter productive.

On the Melbourne forum someone mentioned Priddis might be a late out. If true i hope its Redden that comes in for him and not Masten. Be interesting to see how Redden goes in his role.
Yes think I heard earlier in the week Priddis has been carrying some sort of injury - would not be surprised if they bring Wellingham in as can't he play a midfield role?

I think it is absolutely disgusting how ungrateful and disrespectful some of you are to Lecras. He is a club legend and at worst the second best small forward we've ever had. As someone previously mentioned if not for the ACL he would most likely have kicked over 500 goals and played 250 games for us. He has given over 10 years of his life, blood, sweat and tears not only for the club but for us fans.

Disrespecting those who are at the end after a great career speaks not of the players who are falling away or any lack of commitment to the cause on their end. It does however speak greatly of the type of person you actually are. It is not a players fault that they wish to play and prior to the last 4 weeks lecras to that point had a great start to the season.

Lecras is 10x the player someone like karpany will ever be and he deserves a lot more than the shit sandwich some of you are throwing his way. I suggest some of you eat your own shit sandwiches and that the taste of filth makes you want to become better people.
You're a moron dude. The club is always greater than the individual. His past performances aren't helping us in 2017. Club legend, yeah possibly, life member, yes. 2017 legend, no. Disrespecting someone when they're running into an open goal and you're tucked against the boundary 50 out but choose to have a shot is inexcusable from a "leader" and "club legend". Of course I don't expect him to drop himself, but put your hand up if you're carrying an injury.

Literally no journalist in history has asked almost any of these questions of any to any man who has ever coached an AFL side.

You're an absolute idiot. Are you just inventing things that he's done now?

Cole out for Wellingham is ridiculous given Cole just had his best game showing real intent and aggression.

Ladder position & seniority can take a flying **** for all I care, that type of game must be rewarded.

Changes

OUT Nelson inj

IN Wellers
Just catching up on this thread. What f****** peanut suggested Cole as an out?

I agree but I don't expect him to line up with East Perth this weekend, injured or otherwise. My opinion is that he will have a mini break and then play for EP in a week or two. By that time I hope that Karps has shown enough to keep his spot in the team. Don't get me wrong, Lecca has been a great player for us but he has not been offering too much to the team structure this year. His pace is down and some of his decision making has been quite flawed. Karps didn't do much wrong in his only game this year and I think he should be given a few games to find his feet and show what he can do.

Lecras started the season brilliantly, copped an injury and his form has deteriorated ever since. Our lack of depth has either made the match committee keep selecting him or the player suggest the injury was only a slight niggle. Has been an absolute champion, how short peoples memory, He is all class. FW'S, suggesting he is pea hearted, don't just make me sick , make me so angry I wish we could meet in person to discuss the issue.

Alas i may be a moron with half a brain. However living in the kingdom of the brainless the man with half a brain is king. I think you'll find you're also a resident of said kingdom.

Righty-o. Take the glasses off and open your other eye. It's a team game and you're only as strong as the weakest link. No one is having a dig at him and what he's done. It's the fact the MC are blindly showing faith in him and/or playing him through an injury he should have had weeks off for before all to the detriment of the team. It's a results based business not a feel good farm.
