Works on Contingency? No, Money Down!

Redden was good in Rd 1. 22 touches and 8 tackles, and tackled with a lot of intensity. He dropped off in Rd 2 & 3, though. For an experienced mid who isn't all that damaging he should be a 20-25+ disposal a game player.

Jetta I've pretty much given up on. Has he ever dominated a WAFL game? Seems to float around getting 10 or 12 touches as he does in the AFL. Used to regularly pick up 20 touches for Sydney, and was a goal kicker. Just adds nothing to our side. Probably capable of running 100m in 11-12s and I reckon I could've run him down at the weekend. Gaff (who isn't all that quick) has 21 marks and 80 uncontested possies in 3 games. Jetta has 3 and 17 in 2. FFS. I wouldn't care if he never got a clearance or a tackle in his life if he was getting the ball between HB and wing, running with a bounce or two then kicking it 50 a dozen or so times a game but he just isn't.

Gaff is quick but not Jetta quick. Difference is that gaff is an endurance beast compared Jetta(burst player).

Wouldn't mind seeing us drop one of Cripps or hill. Play Jetta as hff and tell him to push down the ground. 2012 he played a similar role and had his career best year.

That sounds like what Hill is being asked to do now. Cripps is all about the forward pressure, so given the other soft tacklers in our forward line I'd reckon you're giving up more with Cripps than Hill in experimenting with Jetta.

He was good in round three, especially in the last quarter. His time on ground % is lower than the other midfielders, so while he's disposal count hasn't been overly impressive, it will get better with more game time.

Same with Sheed, got dropped after the Saints game, but wasn't given a huge amount of time on the ground. He was clean when he got it though. He'll be back in this week, hopefully for Hutch.

Why would drop one of Cripps/Hill who are adequately playing their roles to squeeze Jetta in their place?

Cripps and Hill are both top 10 in tackles so far, and have hit the scoreboard each game. Jetta hasn't earned a spot over either.
