I'm coming to the conclusion that the Selectors have NFI! Sheed has the body in the midfield that we need. Did Sheed sleep with Simmos wife or something as he appears to be out of favour at present.

The only thing I can think of working against Sheed is we have 3 slow inside mids in the team already. Priddis, Mitchell and Redden. Simmo mentioned they were working on balance.

Sheed was hobbling a little at the end of the EP game so maybe that has something to do with his non-selection

Don't underestimate the importance of Duggan and Butler not playing last weekend as part of the selection decision - they should at least have fresh legs

Having said that I really don't get these changes. I like the selection of Butler which will hopefully release Wellingham further up the ground. I don't get the Duggan selection though, his form hasn't demanded selection unlike Sheed's.

Didn't someone say that Duggan's the type of bloke that they would love their daughter to bring home? Maybe Simmo wants duggan to be his future son in law (if he has a daughter thats in her late teens).

Not sad by the duggan selection.

also wouldn't have minded sheed and duggan in for redden and hutch. Both add more versatility to the midfield.

Hutchings out helps balance the team out more. Perhaps unlucky but he is always going to be fighting to be in the 22. I personally think Jetta should have stayed in for a period of time to find out conclusively if he still has it or not. Performance in the WAFL means nothing for him now, why bother? I always like Butler in the team, Duggan I like, but does his form justify him coming in? Hope he improves on 2016 that's for sure.

Butler deep defence, Wellingham up the ground is a good plan to cover the even lower amount of pace we have now.
