* oath.

I hate it when anyone uses a nickname for someone they don't actually know. Like when people refer to Lance Franklin as "Buddy".
You're not his mate, you can't call him that. You probably don't even know him.

I'd feel really uncomfortable if someone I didn't know was calling me my nickname. That's a privilege, you earn that right.
Well said, Toumparino.

I hate going to games against Collingwood because of their supporters, but there is no better place to be when we do beat them. Being at the Jack Watts titanic game was unreal.
This is why I love having a reserved seat now. Tucked away on level 2 safely nestled among a usually decent crowd of Melbourne fans. Weirdly I actually enjoyed sitting among opposition fans more when we were shit. Now I just find them irritating.

cue the board rioting that Melk was dropped, who would have thought that 4 rounds ago. What a time to be alive!
Sounds good to me. Melk doing **** all most of the time and being good with a half dozen touches just seems like the good end of a not-anymore AFL player of his kind's game variance.

Does anyone think he's going to hold his spot on merit through the finals? Would be ****ing long odds.

I have family members that want to go but I ****ing hate sitting in crowded games these days. Might have to fake my death and watch at a pub.

Partner PG would love you. He has got a bee in his bonnet about players being called by their numbers and not their name. I think he is actually talking about umpires here - the idea that the perception of bias could be removed to some extent if umpires tried to act less familiar with certain players, but I’m going to extend his comments to Internet forums and say that you are entirely correct
I'm ok with umpires using a player's name, but it took a while. I still occasionally seethe quietly when I heard an umpire use an abbreviated version of a player's name. It's really just unprofessional, and to be perfectly honest, I really don't like seeing anyone enjoying themselves out there- especially umpires. It's a serious job, everyone on the field should treat it as such.

The atmosphere is awesome but everything else about it is terrible.

I don’t want to see anyone enjoying themselves. Anywhere

Elliot's too crafty for Hunt, have to play Hibberd on him. Not too worried about Ginnivan he will get on the end of some good stuff so fine with Hunt playing on him. Lever to Hoskin Elliot probably exploit him. Petty to the resting ruck and May to Mihocek

Don't think matchups really matter though they don't smash people one on one they break through with run and carry and hit uncontested marks.

Adams out is important. He hasn't been amazing this season but he's their best clearance player. Oliver, Trac and Viney must win clearances now. Something we haven't been great at, but with their best clearance player out, we should get on top in this area which will give us an edge.

That is an interesting fact about Adams.

For me, the only way Melbourne win this is if the Midfield group dominate with pressure otherwise they will hit up the talented small forwards the pies have at will and I also believe that having Hunt in the team causes more issues for the opposition team as they have to factor in his speed.

in addition, Hunt pissed off the BF Collingwood supporters BIG TIME in the Jack Watts Hero match, which hopefully brings an extra distraction factor

First night game we've played against Collingwood since 2007 (not counting the 5:10 game at the Gabba)

Can we get Jack Watts down to do a lap of honour in the back of a Toyota Hilux?

I was thinking we could entice him with an inflatable swimming pool in the middle of the ground

Still can't believe they've missed the opportunity to have Wattsy come down the slide for the Big Freeze in a pair of his Skowsh boardshorts hurtling towards some inflatable ****

Have him land in a big pool of 'snow' and he'd be keen

JvR. It's time.

Weid out with his papers stamped.

He'll have the last laugh though as he goes back to VFL and wins the flag while the senior team misses the 8 :)
A nice parting gift and he can brag about VFL Premiership Medals while Steven May reminds Weid that he never won an AFL Premiership medal.
