Kern worries me with his reluctance to acknowledge our structural problems. Stewart barely saw it after quarter time.

It's pretty clear by now that the Kern isn't really a structure coach. Teams are increasingly pushing back and inviting us to kick long to an outnumbered situation. The whole argument for playing an extra tall is to have height in those situations to compete and bring the ball to ground or better yet actually take a clean mark. For Kern to claim Stewart's cameo as a lead-mark medium sized half forward as some kind of evidence that we don't need an extra tall is deflection that even Chocolate would have been proud of.

Butcher or Shaw must be included for the Collingwood game. It's beyond debatable now.

Bobby in and that's 50% of our problem solved. Hopefully Jacko is back for Collingwood. That's the other 50%. .. Gus is back in.
Out Dom. Newton.

Butch can earn a spot although I think Ken alluded to Butch playing against Collingwood on the ABC before the game. I don't think he brings anything to the table as yet.

Our current problems have little or nothing to do with key defenders missing.

Which is a bit like saying a heart surgeon isn't really a "heart surgeon".

Our problem started about half time against the Crows as it did last year when Jacko went down. That is our problem

I'm pretty sure I'll get shot down but... does Monfries deserve to be thrown straight back in? Was dismal for a few weeks there and then has missed the past 2 + the bye. I'd prefer to see him come through the maggies.

He can come back through the Maggies and play in the next AFL game.

Definitely needs to come back through the maggies.

We were back to it when we pressured them like in the first, doesn't matter who suits up when we are playing as a team - we perform well. We are forcing hard handbills etc that go missing as I think we aren't handling the pressure too well. We are still miles off beating anybody at the MCG in September, but not sure we will get there yet, form too erratic. I think collingwood game will be our season, we win that we can beat the swans here.

I think Ken has been foxing with butcher all year. He'll wheel him out soon.

And I have no idea what holding the ball is after today.

Nah disagree. We look lost at times in there and it's obvious that we are undersized.

No doubt we are undersized, it's plain to see. But our troubles are much more then just a couple of tall defenders missing.

Far too may guys are playing timid footy, both in application when the ball is there to be won and also also in 'mind' when they have the the ball. Our disposal, or ball movement, is bottom eight standard at the moment. Our willingness to do 'team things' at every given opportunity is probably bottom 4 standard.

We are horribly our of form, horribly drilled - especially around stoppages, and will be lucky to hang on to a spot in the top 6. We may even miss the eight unless somehow we can drastically change in a short period of time.

Our troubles run so much deeper than a couple of key defenders at the moment.

A good team would have slaughtered us today.

What I want to happen:

Out: Cassisi, Impey
In: Carlile, Butcher

What will happen:

Out: Cassisi, Newton
In: Carlile, Monfries

Polec, White, Ebert, Wingard and Broadbent also deserve to be dropped after 5 bad games in a row each but will be spared.

wat. That was the first bad game White has played in about two months.

Why are you still here
Why do you go on a forum if you don't like what you read? Ask the Mods. On behalf of a few peoples disgust in my negative attitude I gave the mods permission to ban me had we won. I guess free speech is allowed? Be realistic though we just got over the line against a rabble at home in a champions last game. Things don't look good.

PAFC66 is entitled his speech. It is certainly no worse than what we would read in a weekly basis during the Primus era's from just about everybody.

Fact is we are playing pretty awfully. Anyone arguing otherwise simply cannot back that up.
