Huge test this. Head is primed for an honourable loss (please don’t be a blowout!) but the heart is strong on an upset win. Belief should be through the roof after the comeback win against the suns.

Whilst beating Freo would be great there are 3 teams I have my eye on in the next stretch:

West Coast - clearly improved but that loss was still a big **** up. Need to grow up, concentrate and atone.

Melbourne - a team we really should be levelling up with by now. They've razzle dazzled a few with their dash and they're a well balanced list but we need to overpower their mids and make a statement about who will control the dynamic for the next decade

St Kilda - getting on a 7 years straight domination by a team who has been a less shit version of Essendon in that time - a bit like Sydney they always get out of jail vs us. We need to start punching out opponents in our weight class - not just honourable losses to top teams and grinds against bottom teams. It can start here.

I continue to not rate Freo, and they continue to belt all in Sunbury.

A few assumptions here for this trip of 2 matches.

1. Reluctance of selection committee to change a winning side, let alone a losing one. So no changes from last time.
2. Assume 4 travelling emergencies with the extra game. Harvey, RHJ, Blamires and why do I smell Corr being the 4th? Will Clarko select him just to annoy the shite out of Voss all day?
3. Freo are gettable this week. They lost two to injury against BNE. Cox (knee), Johnson (hamstring).
4. Last year the games were in reverse and we scraped in against Weagles by 10, before falling short by 6 points against Freo after a 4 goal last QTR. It’s better to have Freo when fresher.
5. Weagles off to hopefully get beat up by a rested Port ADL at Port and someone runs through Harley Reid. We want them fatigued as their bye is not till after our game.

Okay. Tell us what you really think. Not sure why you're responding like that to me when I was merely letting a poster who suggested Powell's inclusion know that he was out for a few more weeks.

Powell has OP, and had clearly been struggling with it for several weeks before being left out of the team. It's possible the club mismanaged him during that period. Is he our best player? Clearly not. Is he capable of playing decent football that contributes to the team? Absolutely.

Very difficult to make changes after the win last week and coming off the bye

The normal players I would want out of the side were very good in the second half
( Daniel’s, LMac, ) I hope selection committee pick the side that best match’s up with Freo, and let them play like they did in the second half against GC.

Dawson and Hardeman are the tough match-ups there. Bolton has been playing more midfield lately, so it might be Murphy Reid that Hardeman needs to go to.

Genuinely not all there. Still, doesn't make me wrong.

In fact, until the team I would pick is picked and loses by 10 goals (due to lack of experience or whatever you think we need) - I'm going to continue thinking I'm correct.

I get I'm a bit more "Harry the Hatchett" than most, again, doesn't mean I'm wrong in thinking we actually have some good players currently not playing AND those players can make us better.

Which is alllll any of us want.
