These apparently were the stats from the 2's game on the weekend.

Aaron Hall: 23K, 8HB, 3M, 2T, 2G

Trent McKenzie: 16K, 6HB, 3M, 4T, 1G

Andrew Raines*: 12K, 9HB, 4M, 4T

Brandon Matera: 15K, 4HB, 3M, 4T, 3G

Tom Nicholls: 3K, 10HB, 3M, 3T, 28HO

Peter Wright: 7K, 5HB, 5M, 1G


Based on the stats alone without having seen any of the game you'd have to think Aaron Hall is a strong chance to come in for Sexton, Matera in for Harbrow, Shaw in for Ablett.

If Hallahan doesn't get up could consider Mckenzie, or J. Glenn?

Daniher is an exception. Father-Son rule and he was training with the club before he was drafted so he knew the game plan, was playing with a finals contending team under a premiership coach in Hird.

Will def play this year , the kid is a man child , has been set back because of knee tendonitis . Only missed a couple of weeks of pre season and last week he was 2nd up after a 3 goal haul in his first game for us . Is gaining his fitness so watch him in the coming weeks in the magoo's esp with Dixon playing alongside him , will get the 2nd best tall at reserve level . If Sammy Day only gives us 4 possesions as a key forward like he did last week watch Wright currency rise.

I don't think he should be dropped currently as actually rate him as a tap backup ruckman. When Dixon comes back and if Wright puts in a few consecutive performances at reserve grade level then I would be in favour of giving big Pete a go with the seniors.

Yeah Dicko will come in for the GWS or qclash imo , but usually young key forwards take time to develop because they dont have the body for it , but in Wright's case the only 18yo ive seen this big was Tom Hawkins.

It's really interesting isn't it Day has the athletic ability to dominate but seems to lack the football nous and competitive drive. Neither of these things can be taught so we may be wasting everyone's time by persisting.
