Might be a positive thread this week!

IN: Dyson
OUT: Welsh (inj.)

Fairly straightforward: Reimers to FF like he did in the second half, Dyson to be the sub.

B: Hardingham - Hurley - Hibberd
HB: Fletcher - Pears - Heppell
C: Stanton - Prismall - Melksham
HF: Monfries - Crameri - Zaharakis
F: Davey - Reimers - Colyer
R: Ryder - Hocking - Howlett
I: Hille - McVeigh - Jetta
S: Dyson

Out: Welsh
In: Gumby

Gumbleton to CHF and Cramdog to FF. Assuming Gumby's ready. Sad for Welsh he was finally starting to show us all why he's in the team and goes and does his hammy.

Zaka Ryder Jetta
Crameri Gumby Davey

Hille Howlett Heppell

Bench from: Monfries Hardingham Reimers Colyer

Like for like, Colyer back to sub. He had a real impact when he come on.

In: Willo

Yep, let's go like for like. No need to change anything up.

Like the position Remiers played last night. Gave him an opportunity to get in the game with a few cheap possessions rather than being stuck in the forward line.

In: Dyson. Liked our speed.

Williams, nah - don't see him adding anything. Our work ethic finally picked up and I don't think he's a goer. Would be happy to be wrong though. Don't want Gumby, we had a perfect balance against the Cats and Gumby could change the dynamics again.

I seem to recall their being some rule about not posting a changes thread until 24 hours later?

Anyway Welsh out and one of Williams, Dyson or Carlisle in. Gumby does not deserve a game ahead of Carlisle.

These would be my changes, however I'd be surprised if McVeigh did actually get dropped due to Hird's relationship with him.

OUT: A.Welsh (inj.), M.McVeigh (omitted)
IN: J. Carlisle, H.Slattery

Forward line functioned well last night against the best defence in the competition. I don't think bringing Gumby or Willo at the moment is the answer, especially on the MCG. Richmond have had some real issues with their defence in recent weeks and can be easily exposed in this area.

I'd be happy for Dyson to come in to replace Welsh. He is overdue for a crack at the seniors and his pace will be beneficial on the MCG. Apart from that, no changes.

Or they fact that he totally blanketed Bartel for most of the night?

agree. If you were going to drop someone based on last nights form it would be Hardingham. You don't drop someone after one bad one though.

Don't understand how Williams is like for like with Welsh. Replacing a guy who gives 100% and plays for the jumper (what we have lacked the last few weeks) with an under-performing VFL player with zero presence. Only similarities are that they are both reasonably accurate kicks for goal inside 50.
