Playing your role is not good enough anymore... We are number 1 for a reason. Nelson needs to go he played his role but is very very average. Apart from agro what does he bring? Cole atleast can kick well and is smart with ball can't say the same about nelson

Out: Hutchings/Ah Chee, Darling, Nelson
In: Shuey, Ryan, Masten

We might be too small? Good teams know how to defend well and clog up our f50 so all the balls coming will be high balls. Therefore, we may need a tall.

Those wanting sheed dropped -

He had 7 clearances today

Redden 2
Yeo 1

Sheed was by far our best ball winner

Out darling nelson
In ryan shuey
He did not play a good game. He was at every stoppage and those numbers are expected really. Redden didn't seem to line up at many at all and it's not comparable.

This is like the AFL website listing their "best" by reading the stats. Or the commentators mentioning he was in good form and shouldn't have been dropped. He is not in good touch at the moment.

No....

It’s only the precise reason we are a game clear on the ladder.

Honestly.

Being at the ground I can't understate how bad Jetta was, can't have players who are scared of the contest
In- Shuey, Masten,Ryan
Out- Sheed,Jetta, Darling/unlucky player Nelson?

Out: Darling ( inj) Nelson ( to many defenders)

In: Ryan Shuey

We dont need another tall at the SCG as its quite a small ground and if it rains less talls the better. Jetta was poo but structurally he is better in the backline and allows us to release Hurn as an attacking option. I noticed we tried to play Nelson on a wing but he doesn’t have the tank.

I am not ruling Darling out of the Sydney match yet. Different ankle roll to the other boys. I did something similar once and couldn't walk the next day. But 4 or 5 days later I was walking and pain free. Hopefully the same for Darling.

Masten is a three week hammie, you also dont need a super endurance winger on the SCG. Swans are a in close tackling side, not exactly Mastens strength, So Masten doesnt play.

Ryan should play a WAFL game simply for match fitness and touch, bring him in v Essendon the following week.

Darling out Shuey in and thats it unless injuries force another change.

He ran 15.5 kms. He has a Panzer of a tank.

Disagree, Shuey pulled his hammy and was gone, Masten had a slight tear and managed to jog out the game on reduced minutes. Can't be anywhere near as bad as Shuey's

Shuey will have been 5+ weeks by the Swans game.

Masten listed as 3 weeks.

Do you think Masten plays well against the Swans at the SCG?

Nelson also was second for kms at high speed - 3.5kms. Quite surprising. I guess that's why he is rated highly by the club. Hopefully that ground coverage can convert into more of the ball.

Played half back and wing.

Much better spot for Nelson than last line of defense. Would be a good matchup on Kennedy.

You don't pick a team based on their record against an ever evolving opposition team!

Without looking up whether they're home and away games his last 5 against the Swans:

15 touches, 1 goal, 6 i50
20 touches, 2 goal assists, 3 tackles
28 touches, 6 clearances, 4 i50, 4 tackles
28 touches, 2 tackles
20 touches, 3 tackles, 4 clearances

These are pretty standard numbers, obviously I've picked out the highlights of his game and cherry picked stats. They're a standard variance of Masten's numbers against any opponent really. I couldn't imagine his hamstring being too bad if they told him he could run out the remainder of the game that's all but of course I could be way off the mark.

ps: if you go back one more game he has a 31 disposal, 7 tackle, 6 clearance, 1 goal game (but that's going back way too far).

Nelson has continued to put on size.

Pushed Membrey off the footy easily in the last and then kicked the ball oof accidently for a Membrey goal. Classic Nello
