Was wondering the same myself

Think Howe has to be the real doubt. Won't know til later in the week but that was a severe hit and clubs are rightly much more cautious with this nowadays. My guess would be he is more likely to miss.
Yes I think he’s the bigger worry. It will all depend upon the testing I suppose?

I suppose a potentially good thing was that he wasn’t knocked unconscious. It was right in front of me in the AFL members and he was moving straight away I thought.

Thing that worrys me is the report he was unable to read the scoreboard after he came off. For that to be the case has to be some concussion. Depends how he comes up but they will be conservative.

Out: Shaz, Brown, Mayne, Diacos
In: McClarty, Sier, Aish, Fasolo.

I'm not overly fussed if Fasolo comes in but I think we need a few more experienced bodies in the side now. I also don't mind the thinking of bringing in Murphy given the size of Sydney's forward line but we need to considering blooding McClarty who could now be vital to next year given we most likely won't have Dunn or Shaz.

Out: Howe, Scharenberg, Brown (if Sier is fit)
In: Fasolo, Magden, Sier (hopefully)

Send Mihocek back if/when required throughout the match, although i think against the swans we won't be to exposed in terms of talls. Franklin should be covered by Moore with someone like a Langdon supporting and I don't think McCartin would be the hardest welcome to AFL out there for Magden.

Brown for Sier only if Sier is 100%, think we missed his big body and clean hands in tight at times on Saturday. The JPK comparisons are pretty close and i think a bit of an 'old champ' vs 'young up and comer' head-to-head, 1 would be great to watch and 2 be a great opportunity for Sier to learn of JPK.

Need hard bodies against Sydney.
In: Magro, D. Tuddenham, Banks, Weideman.. (ie Murray)
EFA
Maybe back in 2005, but not so much now. Sydney are pretty weak through the middle and our midfield may miss next week with a knee injury.

It would be nice to share the injury plague around more evenly
We're not quite in your league for injuries, but we're making a late run. 9/22 out last week and JPK & Buddy hobbling around.

Can't the Tigers just cop a few major injuries to level it out for everyone?

Heard we're putting Stephenson on Buddy - run off him while he's a bit restricted...

You could bring Treloar back 6 weeks early and he'd still run off Buddy... the big fella is struggling

Watch all their supporters start crying when they get one major injury. It will be like the sky is falling.

From AFL site:

COLLINGWOOD defender Jeremy Howe is hopeful he will be fit to take on Sydney in Saturday night's clash at the SCG.

The Magpies star was ruled out of Saturday afternoon's game against Richmond in the first quarter after he suffered concussion when he was collected by Darcy Moore's errant knee in a marking contest.

After a spell of "dizziness" in the immediate aftermath of the incident, the defender said he was feeling much better and will look to prove his fitness at training on Thursday.

Not enough heat on Travis Varcoe.
Seriously 11 disposals, zero tackles (apparently he is in there for all this tackle pressure) and no scoreboard impact.

What role or purpose does he actually serve anymore?
He has been in steady decline for a long time now.
I'd drop him to be honest.

WHE had 10 touches for 3 goals. (3 tackles)
Stephenson had 9 disposals for 0.2. (3 tackles)
Mihocek had 8 disposals for 1 goal. (2 tackles).
Jeremy Howe had 4 touches in 15 mins before being KO'd. Even Scharenberg had 11 touches before busting out his knee to put it into perspective.

We can get far better output from Fas than what Varcoe brings to the table these days.

I tend to agree , although Varcoe is still getting his confidence back I think and he has started to do a few things (roving off packs) that not too many are as good at and which can make a difference.

Next time we play Richmond, Varcoe should be selected to just iron out Cotchin early. I would normally never condone such tactics but this skilful sniper gets away with murder every season in important games and leaves opposition teams a man down . No real mention that I have seen of his thinly disguised punch to the ribs on Maynard while "tackling" but that sort of thing is his modus operandi and I for one would like to see him get some of his own medicine in advance once finals are with us.

He's about the only player I would ever speak about in this fashion but I am sick of it.

IF Sier doesn't come up I can see them calling Blair up (..........................waiting for howls of derision to subside.................)

He may be unspectacular but is a hard nut inside mid/defensive forward and a tackling machine. And does kick or set up the odd good goal, sometimes out of nothing. Yeah I've seen the odd touch of Blair Flair.
I suppose he'd have to be considered a depth player at this stage, but this is exactly the situation he's payed for and should fill a role pretty solidly.

So our last game against Freo is at 2:35pm AWST. A twilight game.
It's weird that they still have a floating fixture now that there's a pre-finals bye. Must be because of TV

Geez I hope not. Watched a bit of Blair in the VFL and he appears too slow even for that level

I think they are saving their bad luck for the finals....

If it's cotchin, Jack or Martin it just about will be the sky falling as far as winning the repeat. I doubt they have Collingwoods resilience to injury.

If I recall he usually does take a few games after a longtermer. Treloar OTOH I could see walking straight into the 1's when he's ready and playing well.
But I"d be happy to see FAz get a run. If not now, when? IT's a long time since he's played in such a well structured, multipronged and high scoring forward line and that hopefully will allow him to have a big impact.

Howes come out and said he has had no further side effects other then a bump on his head.

"It's only Monday so the signs are positive and I feel good. Training's not until Thursday so I don't really have to do anything physical until then," Howe told reporters on Monday.

"I'll save myself, recover well, tick the boxes and see how I go."
Howe said he was feeling clear in the head and is confident he will be able to train fully at main training on Thursday.

"It wasn't ideal to get a head knock early in the game, but in terms of the way I've pulled up I haven't had a headache or anything," Howe said.

"I've got a nice little lump on the top of my head, thanks to 'Darce'.

"But no scans on the head. I've pretty much done all the precautionary things as expected so I've just got to see how the week plays out."

Yeah watching the televised game he was caught alot and his disposal always puts team mates under the pump.

Aish, Magden and McLarty were our better AFL listed players.

Fas had a couple good moments but not involved enough. Needs to do more.

Murphy not ready would be surprised if they opted for him over Mclarty or even Magden.

The Sudanese player Jok showed a lot of promise in the air he would be a nice late pick or rookie selection.
