I hope so. Given our defense has been a huge part of our success so far I think playing on the shorter ground will be good. Much less open space to kick to over the 'web'. Hopefully we won't see Collingwood scythe through it as easily as Adelaide were able to at times. Our defence will hold up against the Pies.
no run out of 50 from Harry O.

Hill still kicked 2 goals last week so i am happy to keep him in. Unless Karps or Newman are dominating and demanding a spot i would leave Hill in.
I think the game against Richmond showed that our defence is more than capable (most of their goals came from Dusty?), and Richmond's 3 big blokes were in much better form than the Pies' 3.Because we haven't played too many sides with very tall forward lines.
Riewoldt, Vickery and Griffiths are not quite the same as Franklin, Tippett and Reid/Goodes or Roughead, Hale and Gunston/McEvoy though, plus Richmond lost the game due to awful kicking, not because we were able to defend well.I think the game against Richmond showed that our defence is more than capable (most of their goals came from Dusty?), and Richmond's 3 big blokes were in much better form than the Pies' 3.
Hurn, Wellingham and particularly Sheppard have shown that they can give away 2-3 inches and still keep their man under control. To a large degree, the size discrepancy doesn't matter because we avoid playing a man on man defence. McGovern particularly but also Sheppard are adept at zoning off so that we rarely see the one on one contests.
Hopefully all this is moot on Saturday by us just absolutely killing the Pies in the middle.
My comments are primarily directed at this week but I agree Swans and Hawks present a different kettle of fish. I don't think we lost the game against Richmond because they kicked poorly. They kicked 10.10 which isn't horrible. They only had 8 marks inside 50, maybe 6-7 of those to their talls (I know Deledio snagged one), so I reckon our blokes defended well.Riewoldt, Vickery and Griffiths are not quite the same as Franklin, Tippett and Reid/Goodes or Roughead, Hale and Gunston/McEvoy though, plus Richmond lost the game due to awful kicking, not because we were able to defend well.
I know what you mean, but relying on Sheppard to beat a tall (because 'if it ain't broke don't fix it') is not a great strategy if we were in a final and Hawthorn/Sydney decided to play extra tall to stretch us.
We should be at least blooding Barrass in the event that this does happen later on
Going in unchanged according to Simmo.
Unless he switches with Scooter I think Hutch would have to be the sub, again
I doubt Scooter would be sub again. If they're playing him into form in the AFL, dropping him to sub again would make his confidence an issue.

sensible on the evidence available to usDuggan likely to line up for EP according to Simmo/Ryan Daniels
Elliot may miss - but he'll most likely play imo
COLLINGWOOD small forward Jamie Elliott was a notable absentee from Magpies’ training this morning.
Elliott did not join his teammates on the track for their main session ahead of Saturday’s clash against West Coast at Etihad Stadium.
The Herald Sun is still awaiting an answer from the Magpies on the reasons behind Elliott’s absence.
If Butler doesn't get up we are a chance for no change I would think.

DANGER DANGER. Got a bad feeling that Elliott, Blair, Fasolo, Swan etc. will be to hard for our small and mid size defenders to counter. Team defence would have to do it
