Blair?
Does anyone think that maybe the reason Moore and Elliott have been out so long since their respective injuries might be that the club wanted to get a mini-preseason in to them before playing again, rather than just abnormally long recoveries? If that’s the case, I’d be more comfortable with Moore coming in this week.
I really hope they dont risk WHE and wasnt happy they brought him back on last round. But Im no medical expert.OUT : Appleby, WHE ( won't be risked )
IN : Murray, Varcoe
i think Moore will play intraclub match and be back for the KANGA- Roos.
Hopefully Elliott & AIsh back in the couple weeks after that. Fingers Crossed and no more injuries and our list is building at the right time of the year!!!
I’d take the 8 points nowIt's a 8 Point Game how close the Teams are

Still get a bit worried with Moore returning. Not because of his hamstrings, but his actual ability to play true key back. If he’s lining up on Kennedy that’s a massive ask. But I guess we don’t have much of an option.
Moore is in the squad for insurance on Kennedy / Darling inclusions, simple as that.
Not the right thread for it and I feel like I’m on a hiding to nothing although I’m happy to oblige. Buckley is coaching better than ever, but we haven’t achieved anything yet and this is the standard I knew the list was capable of so I’m in a bit of a state of “go on”.
I’m happy we’ve turned the ship around, I want to question why it took so long and I’m still not convinced it’s not flash in the pan on the basis of a good draw (going back to October 2017 I was confident we would make the 8 if we made it past round 8 at 4-4) or sustainable moving forward.
If I had to address one point about his coaching in 2018 he’s made it fun. The players look like they’re having fun and it’s fun to go to the footy again. The wins have flowed from there, IMO, on the back of improved development, leadership and chemistry (which was severely underrated pre-2018). The previous few years were akin to having teeth pulled with backwards, sideways and basically totally ineffectual ball movement. The losses would have been infinitely easier to swallow if we’d have been remotely watchable or it seemed like we were building towards something/ anything.
The most important question is would I re-contract him beyond 2019? And the answer is no not yet. I think we would be irresponsible to do so until we work our way into next season. Do I think that the “Lazorous” type story is the prototype? Also no because Buckley would not have survived past 2016 if it weren’t for McGuire. Bolton could be a story of redemption, but I get a distinct Dennis Pagan vibe about him where he’s going to cop all the shit and then someone else will come in to finish off.
I’m pretty sure that wasn’t what you were expecting and this will go down like a lead balloon, but I’m quite confident if we’d made the call post 2016 we’d be no worse off than we currently sit. They decided to go with Gubby instead which set us back further, IMO. Que sera sera.
Elliott if up and about is our cream.Bucks said that in his presser in relation to Elliott
Elliott if up and about is our cream.
I’d be licking my fingers on that one.
On the stats trivia history etc perhaps so *You're this boards Bruce McAvaney.

Looks right maybe swap Murray for Greenwood but doubt it
- Callum Brown,
- Ben Crocker,
- Levi Greenwood,
- Brody Mihocek
- Darcy Moore,
- Sam Murray,
- Adam Oxley,
Four to be omitted.
- Brayden Sier.
You’d almost think it’s locked in these will drop out: Callum Brown, Ben Crocker, Sam Murray, Adam Oxley.
Can’t see them not playing Greenwood, Mihocek (certain) then strong suggestion Moore plays and surely Sier stays.
Final Bench: Darcy Moore, Brayden Sier, Brody Mihocek, Levi Greenwood.
Based on this we have for the team:
In. Moore, Varcoe
Out. Appelby (injured) Crocker
