With Kennedy showing up as having a slight strain, I think we give him a week off.

So for mine it would be, provided both get up this week. If either Gov or Barrass don’t get up Edwards stays.

In: Gov, Barrass
Out: Kennedy (calf), Edwards, (unlucky), Foley

Foley or O’Neill to sub. Flip a coin I suppose.

Oscar to line up at FF.

Need to make sure we support whoever ends up on Walker to cut into Walkers leading lanes. He’s been the main Avenue for adelaides goals this year. He’s kicked 27, which is only 1 less than the next 3 goal kickers combined. (MacAdam, Rowe and Thiltorpe have combined for 28).

Reward performance, XON had 29 and 8 tackles in the WAFL see if Langdon or Cripps can do the same and give him a run on the flank.
Xon seems to struggle a bit at afl level i feel ,he hasnt done much and the way the mids are going your not gonna change much .i understand u need to give guys games to prove themselves, but langdon and cripps are doing enough to stay in i just think atm he might struggle to get back in

IN: Barrass, McGovern

OUT: Edwards, Langdon

Shuffle the deck chairs so Nelson pushes up the ground (mid/wing) more which frees up Rotham to stay in defense, which pushes Ah Chee/Cripps/Jamaine out of the mid rotation and makes them play more minutes FWD and take up the Langdon slack.

Something along those lines. If JK doesn't pull up then he goes out and Langdon stays in.

Gonna have a tall FWD line potentially of JK, Darls, Oscar, Waterman and Bailey.

Basically i don't want to lose Rotham, Witherden and Brander from the side.

No way should we play JK. Its a long season.

As you said Gov and Barrass frees up Oscar to team up with Big Bad Bailey to really show the comp the next three headed monster combo with Jake the Snake.

Get the feeling JK will play and Barrass and Gov will be inclusions.

In: Gov, Barrass, XON (sub)
Out: Edwards, Waterman and Foley.

Waterman was quiet but not bad last week- put on a lot of pressure and only a couple of dropped marks form a good outing. I just think with Allen resuming up forward, we need to push that 4th tall out of the team, especially with Williams doing quite well resting forward.
Other possibility is Waterman to sub in place of Foley and XON plays another week of WAFL. Waterman is versitile and has the tank to play a wing or go back as a sub.
I dont like the idea of taking out one of the small forwards even though they arent setting the world on fire, I think both Cripps and Langdon put a lot of pressure on last week to keep the ball at our end and that is their key role.

Twice already this season we've gone with shorter return timeframes for players (Shuey and Hurn) and re-injury has occured.

If JK is right to go this week, hold him back anyway - he's got an injury there, why push it when he can have an extra 7 days off.

Im happy with the barrass could have played last week but we gave him another week approach.

Do that with GOV this week and also give Kennedy a week off if he has any sort of niggle in that calf .

Out Kennedy

In barrass

Allen goes forward and we have Williams spend more time in the forward line and covering natanui's man when he can't be funked .

O'Brien did give nic a bath last time they played

ROB 19 disposal 9 marks ( 4 contested) 7 tackles 12 hitouts

Natanui 7 disposals 0 marks 3 tackles 24 hitouts 1 goal .

Sure nic had more hitouts but O'Brien did exactly what he said he would do and run off him all day and had a massive day especially in reduced game length

Stats aren't the whole story with Naitanui. He gave us a huge advantage at hitouts.

If I recall the coverage of the game correctly, most had it 50/50 or 60/40 to Naitanui.

Game was done and dusted when ROB was plonked deep in defence and we went full West Coast just bombing the ball to him with inside 50 after inside 50.

When the game was alive Nic Nat slaughtered him. And let him know all about it after that goal too

Nah he didn't mate, you need to go rewatch the game instead of reading the stat sheet.

Nic kicked a snag straight out of a ruck contest early on, and set up the win for us and gave the mids silver service all day. From memory he sat most of the last quarter on the bench after we'd iced the game and O'brien ran around the backline getting a few cheap possies and marks to pad the stat sheet.

You can't use the nic spent a heap of time on the bench excuse. That just proves ROB point .

Nic won the game, and the battle, handily. What ROB does in the final few minutes doesn’t move the needle of a dead game. 19 touches, 10 of which came in the final term. 3QT margin was 34, in shortened quarters. Eagles had more than doubled them up by 3QT.

Nic thumped him mate, absolutely thumped him.
