Predicted Broomhead and Seedsman to come in however I would have thought Oxley would be omitted instead of De Goey.

Perhaps Bucks is expecting our backline to be worked hard this weekend and wants a bigger rotation and if adelaide's performance last week is any indicator, maybe rightfully so.

Relax everyone, starting to get players back and some need a run in the 2's, in the next 2-3 weeks, Moore, Witts, Scharenberg, Kennedy, Freeman, DeGoey, Karnezis & Marsh will get run and fitness in them, we then hopefully start to get more competition for spots!

I would've thought that's how good competitive teams get the best out of their squads. If you don't make an impact (which Degoey didn't) albeit with only a quarter of footy you make way to players who performed well in the VFL. If Degoey performs well he gets closer to starting a game without the vest and if he continues to perform well he becomes a regular and automatic selection. That's how successful AFL teams operate. He doesn't strike me as someone who will go back into his shell after being dropped, if anything he strikes me as someone who will work harder to get back. The flip side of this selection issue is if we don't play the VFL players who earn the right to play it diminishes their drive to push for selection and therefore put pressure on their AFL counterparts! A competitive environment breeds success.

Yep - Blair would be put under a ton of Pressure and needs a Huge Game. More then just play Defensively well

You mean a tonne of pressure by people on here.. He is obviously loved by th e club and won't be dropped..

He was awesome last week. I hope he can now take his game further by playing in the middle this week

Agree with the sub rule being useless now. With capped interchange is it really as necessary?
Giving the subs vest to a rookie is a terrible waste.
Giansiracusa seems to have been the best use of a sub from what i've seen and we don't have anyone like that.
Get rid of the sub rule and if you want a fresh guy later, just rotate him less.

We don’t know what is Expected for Blair so we don’t know IF he had a good game or not

Bucks said he had a good game, so Blairy definitely met expectations, internally anyway. He will always polarise opinions on here. I thought he was great against the Lions. The conditions suited him perfectly. Under the roof at Etihad will be a different story but he has a big role to play this week.

I don't see why some are concerned about JDG being dropped and what it will do for his confidence. I doubt he is that stupid not to understand his situation and the realities of it. He had to play a full game this week. Being the sub again not an option. So he is going back to the VFL to get that full game. Nothing wrong with that.
