Could not agree more...I've seen every AFL game BK has played, albeit on TV...he does NOT get the ball.....
He's been the sub for most of them, then dropped. Played well against the GC and WC last year when given a proper go. He's a ready made replacement for Sidebottom.

OUT: Goldsack (He is an over rated lazy waste of space), Sidebottom (We will miss him), Williams (35% disposal efficiency can't be overlooked), Oxley (Needs to do better, if he can't make an impression against Brisbane, what chance has he got V Adelaide)
IN: Karnezis (He is Goldsack that can get more of the ball, and kick goals), Witts (should be fit), Seedsman (Better than Williams), Kennedy (Not sure why he gets overlooked to start with).

B: Toovey, Brown, Crisp
HB: Langdon, Frost, Seedsman
C: DeGoey, Adams, Sinclair
HF: Elliott, Cloke, Varcoe
F: Fasolo, White, Swan

R: Grundy, Pendlebury, Kennedy
I: Ramsay, Karnezis, Witts, Blair
E: Dwyer, Broomhead, Freeman

You're making a joke right? I mean you are entitled to your opinion and I respect that right for everyone, but calling Goldsack lazy and overrated is like saying lead is gold - definitely not true. The Sack knows his limitations and rarely tries anything fancy. He is also amongst the hardest working players I've ever seen, with or without the ball. Williams whilst disappointing when kicking can run and carry and was excellent in defense against the Lions. He will do an excellent job on Eddie Betts next week and I can't think of anyone else I'd rather have on such a dangerous small forward. Oxley is still learning his craft and was serviceable against the Lions and showed great composure against the Bulldogs when we were being belted all over the ground.

I would expect minimal changes to the lineup. The boys played very well and for nearly 3 qtrs we actually had a structured, definitive look about the team with or without the ball. Replace Sidebottom and anyone else that may have come up worse for wear if there is a risk they can't run out a whole game but try and keep as much continuity in onfield group as possible so we can build a better group cohesiveness.

Indeed, his goal against Carlton in NAB challenge was sublime!

I do wonder if he'll get regular kick out duties? As good as Langdon is (he did well on Saturday night) I'd rather Langdon out receiving the ball in the field of play
---------------
Interesting point...and can someone give Langdon some lessons in body language ? Even when he's just done something great he looks miserable...

Gault will surely come back in

I just want BenKen to be given some time.
The kid has something called X Factor.
Give him a go for a few weeks without the vest at the start.
We are crying out for a player of his ilk in the forward half.
Wouldn't surprise me one bit, if he kicks a bag of 5 or 6 if given a continuous chance.

Dawes, Cloke and Brown, with Jolls in the ruck - good point.
I'm still undecided whether it's the way to go.
If we bring in PK for Sidey as an example it provides us with more flexibility.
Best I leave it to the experts.

I actually genuinely hope that Patty K get's his run at it and becomes a permanant structure.. I'm a big fan of the way he goes about it.

Fair enough. I think that, like a lot of our developing players, he should certainly be given every chance. Others here seem more bullish about BK's prospects than me, and I'm happy to admit that I've been wrong once or twice in the past... I hope that my ambivalence about BK has cause in the future to become unbridled adoration.

Well Sinclair is like Lumumba takes off when he gets the ball and then the Kick can go anywhere.

Well I was pretty good Predicting that Ceglar be a AFL Player
Ceglar is irrelevant in this discussion Dave.

It's fine if you don't rate Sinclair, everyone has their players they don't like, but calling for him to be dropped when he was the best small defender in the previous game is ridiculous.

I'm not a fan of Blair, but after his game against Brisbane I'm certainly not calling for him to be dropped. That would be absurd.

Couldn't take this thread seriously when I see people calling for Goldsacks head. Love his attack on the ball and his tackling pressure.

Can't help but agree. Sinclair is pivotal to our backline now.

Marley and him are our perma small defenders now.

Sinkers started last year in fine form before injury hit.
He has added size to his body, physicality to his game.
Yes, he has disposal problems, but I'd prefer my defenders to stop their opponent.
But that is coming from an old full full back.

Okay, first try...

OUT: Sidebottom , Ramsay, De Goey
IN: Broomhead, Kennedy, Witts/Gault

1st change speaks for itself, Ramsay dropped for team balance (just don't need the extra small back against Adelaide) and De Goey can get his minutes in the the VFL side if he can't run a game out. Witts or Gault comes in because Grundy can't take Jacobs alone with just the occasional chop-out from White. Cloke also needs the extra support. Would probably prefer Witts, but either will do.

Broomhead and Elliott the main two to split Sidebottom's midfield minutes. Blair I suppose gets some as well.

Dwyer thereabouts, but will wait until the injury report. Even then, would prefer Broomhead.

guys whats going on with witts ...

Had shoulder surgery in the off season, he's being managed back

...reid ...

Balmy reckons he'll be back next week (presumably in the VFL practice matches). The club are being uber cautious.

...and seedsman?

Had hip surgery in the off-season. He played for the VFL on Saturday and Maxy reckoned he looked good. Imagine he'll be working back up to fitness and might take a while.
