I hope Colledge gets a game too but who do you drop for him. I think it is essential to keep Sheed in the side as it is the pace of the game he is having trouble adapting to and experience is the only remedy. Wellingham had to play and unaccustomed role in defence due to Brown's injury and Selwood and McGinnity were given tagger roles. Colledge wasn't brilliant with his game but rather accumulated possessions with his run and although that is fair enough it means we would have Priddis, Sheed and Colledge basically performing the same thing and none of them are really damaging.Surely College will get a game this week i mean what more do you have to do, I think college has turned the corner and could come good for us he's put alot of muscle on and looks in ripping condition, If it's at the expense of Sheed then so be it they both could play a big part of our midfield in years to come as long as we keep blooding them
I agree that Schofield looked a bit proppy but the one on one duels Yarran won were not against Schofield, it was Anderson and/or Blee manning him at the time. I also agree that McInnes should be given a go as he played well at CHB last year when he had to. The problem at the moment is that we can't make normal selection decisions as we are in an unusual position so a choice between an untried player and on slightly down may be a 50/50 thingI am perplexed with the thoughts of others advocating Schofields return to the AFL based on how he played on the weekend.
I watched the East Perth game against Subiaco and I was not inspired with Schofields game, he look very under done for WAFL level let alone AFL, so I don't understand the masses advocating his selection this week. He looked injured and not 100% fit what so ever , he was so proppy and indecisive. Selecting and playing players who are not fully fit is risky at the best of times.
Why is his name constantly being thrown up as a suitable replacement ???? ....because he is "a tall" !!!!! .....ummm... his 9 possessions against the Subiaco forwards were pretty under whelming TBH , he even lost a couple of one on one body duels with Yarran.
Now I am not bagging Schofield per se , however he looked way of being ready to play at the next level YET.
lf you are wanting to reward WAFL form then McInnes was far more impressive with his 22 possessions.
Now I will be honest here and admit that I have no idea if McInnes can play as a KPD at the next level , but I do know that he was being groomed for that role in the under 18 championships before he did his ankle. BUT we are never going to know unless we try him in that role.
We face a Carlton forward line with the prospects of Jones, Henderson and maybe Casbolt . So far we have The Gov and then a sizable blank as to who we play on the other Carlton tall forward.
I would have thought that this week would have been a perfect opportunity to see what McInnes is capable of.
It's going to rain every day starting tomorrow.
Out: Brown
In: Schofield/McInnes
Lamb as sub.

Unfortunately, i don't think Shoey will be ready ... needs more wafl time. I like the idea of using Tunners at chb on a wet day as he has the strength to cope there in such conditions, whereas Barrass wouldn't. If it was dry, i would reverse that. Also want to see Newman in - him and cripps in tandem will cause big problems in any weather.

ThisPhase Priddis out for Sheed. Bring Yeo into the middle. Get Duggan in at least as sub

Even though that would never happen, I'd love to see that. Yeo, Sheed, ShueyIn: Schofield if fit, Ellis, Newman
Out: Brown, Butler, McGinnity,
FB: Nelson, McGovern, Ellis
HB: Rosa, Schofield, Hurn
C: Gaff, Sheed, Wellingham
HF: LeCras, Lycett, Lamb
FF: Newman, Kennedy, Cripps
Fol: Naitanui, Shuey, Yeo
I/C: Selwood, Priddis, Sheppard
Sub: Masten

Would love it if there was interest in a trade. What do you reckon we could get, 3rd round pick?Take note Priddis haters, heave ho speaks sense. This is what I've been saying all along. He's not your explosively paced outside midfielder but he is as hard as a cats head and burrows into packs to feed the pill.
If we looked to trade him/ force intro retirement there WOULD be interest and we could lose a Brownlow medalist for SFA
So who plays on Carltons other KPF?]IN- College Newman
Out - Lamb Brown
I think Schofield needs another test in WAFL would consider Bennel too maybe for Butler ?
Well you wouldn't and I guess you are no one.And no one would really care.
