Surely College will get a game this week i mean what more do you have to do, I think college has turned the corner and could come good for us he's put alot of muscle on and looks in ripping condition, If it's at the expense of Sheed then so be it they both could play a big part of our midfield in years to come as long as we keep blooding them

Out: Brown (inj), McGinnity
In: McInness, Newman

Keep Sheed. We need to give him some stability and some time to adjust to the game. Lamb and Nelson should play again, this experience is invaluable and they will only get better. I agree with the calls about McInness; lets reward his form and give him his debut as a KPD. Sure the learning curve is steep, but whats the point of having a KPP on our list for four years and not using him? Schofield is underdone and needs time in the WAFL.

Brown was a shame, I really felt for him when he went down. Then I cried a little when I realised what that meant for our chances this season. McGinnity was pretty average, the only good work he did was helping Cripps get that ninja goal in the square. Seriously, the bloke can't kick and is not going to get better - we need to bite the bullet and make the tough decisions about guys in this team who are not performing or offering us anything notable. Newman offers us a more skilled player who knows this is his chance to resurrect his AFL career - could be an inspired choice. Keep Duggan for another week in the WAFL for the experience; does anyone know why Muddy Jr didn't play on the weekend?

I hope Colledge gets a game too but who do you drop for him. I think it is essential to keep Sheed in the side as it is the pace of the game he is having trouble adapting to and experience is the only remedy. Wellingham had to play and unaccustomed role in defence due to Brown's injury and Selwood and McGinnity were given tagger roles. Colledge wasn't brilliant with his game but rather accumulated possessions with his run and although that is fair enough it means we would have Priddis, Sheed and Colledge basically performing the same thing and none of them are really damaging.

I am perplexed with the thoughts of others advocating Schofields return to the AFL based on how he played on the weekend.

I watched the East Perth game against Subiaco and I was not inspired with Schofields game, he look very under done for WAFL level let alone AFL, so I don't understand the masses advocating his selection this week. He looked injured and not 100% fit what so ever , he was so proppy and indecisive. Selecting and playing players who are not fully fit is risky at the best of times.

Why is his name constantly being thrown up as a suitable replacement ???? ....because he is "a tall" !!!!! .....ummm... his 9 possessions against the Subiaco forwards were pretty under whelming TBH , he even lost a couple of one on one body duels with Yarran.

Now I am not bagging Schofield per se , however he looked way of being ready to play at the next level YET.

lf you are wanting to reward WAFL form then McInnes was far more impressive with his 22 possessions.

Now I will be honest here and admit that I have no idea if McInnes can play as a KPD at the next level , but I do know that he was being groomed for that role in the under 18 championships before he did his ankle. BUT we are never going to know unless we try him in that role.

We face a Carlton forward line with the prospects of Jones, Henderson and maybe Casbolt . So far we have The Gov and then a sizable blank as to who we play on the other Carlton tall forward.

I would have thought that this week would have been a perfect opportunity to see what McInnes is capable of.
I agree that Schofield looked a bit proppy but the one on one duels Yarran won were not against Schofield, it was Anderson and/or Blee manning him at the time. I also agree that McInnes should be given a go as he played well at CHB last year when he had to. The problem at the moment is that we can't make normal selection decisions as we are in an unusual position so a choice between an untried player and on slightly down may be a 50/50 thing

Out - brown MaGinnity Nelson butler
In schofield bennell Newman Ellis

Ellis McGovern bennell
Hurn schofield Sheppard
Gaff priddis rosa
Newman Lecras Wellingham
Cripps Kennedy lycett
Natanui shuey yeo

Masten selwood sheed
Sub lamb

If the game is wet like predicted it would be good to see us play smaller especially with our lack of KPPs .
Rosa back to wing where his up and under footskills are less of a liability .
Wellingham and Newman to play HFF and push up the ground .
Bennell to add pace to our backline
Lecras to play as a lead up CHF creating a mismatch .
Yeo to play midfield !

Yep with it raining for the game i think we will be better off not being so tall down back. Yarran is a maybe as he copped a knee injury on the weekened. We need to free Yeo up to play as a mid and can only see Schofield as that player to let us do that. Ellis and Bennell back give us more class down back. I will be going down to training today so will have a look at Schoey and Ellis.

It's going to rain every day starting tomorrow.

Out: Brown
In: Schofield/McInnes

Lamb as sub.

Unfortunately, i don't think Shoey will be ready ... needs more wafl time. I like the idea of using Tunners at chb on a wet day as he has the strength to cope there in such conditions, whereas Barrass wouldn't. If it was dry, i would reverse that. Also want to see Newman in - him and cripps in tandem will cause big problems in any weather.

I think Lamb needs regular time in the WAFL. Chopping and changing as a sub not the best way to go about his development IMO.

Out: Brown, Butler, Lamb
In: McInnes, Bennell, Newman (sub)

To be honest I've got no idea what changes we should make. Maybe Newman could be a good sub.

Even though that would never happen, I'd love to see that. Yeo, Sheed, Shuey :)

Really concerned about Henderson. I still think McGovern will get exposed one on one against big bodied opponents; let's be honest, if there was any side we were going to do okay against with a makeshift defence it was the Dogs. Schofield isn't a KPD, I remain unconvinced that McGovern is too.

Take note Priddis haters, heave ho speaks sense. This is what I've been saying all along. He's not your explosively paced outside midfielder but he is as hard as a cats head and burrows into packs to feed the pill.

If we looked to trade him/ force intro retirement there WOULD be interest and we could lose a Brownlow medalist for SFA
Would love it if there was interest in a trade. What do you reckon we could get, 3rd round pick?
