and herin lies the problem. I will play bad and it is ok.

MEDIOCRITY.

Well I think Riewoldt's game was just as poor, I guess when we don't drop him that will be accepting mediocrity too?

Relax, we are 1 game into a 22 game season. Granted Vickery had a poor game, but he was not helped at all by his teammates delivery and conditions didn't favour him. Dropping him after 1 bad game and replacing him with an Elton or mcbean that are no where near the required level currently is not the answer. Let him have a crack in normal football conditions in Melbourne before you go calling for his head.

Ty was great last year, great pre-season, very good Pies and Bombers game, had an ordinary Suns game like the majority of our team, and everyone wants him sacked.

Sacked = No
Fuse lit on the rocket up his bum = Yes

Out Grigg (soft as butter,never chases or tackles) Newman (sick of him holding up play and kicking backwards) and Fish & Chip boy Bachar Houli isn't far behinde. Who comes in i don't give a f*ck. :mad::mad::mad::mad:

Dropping our best tall against Gold coast with the exception of Hampson for a cherry picking VFL player, who is useless at AFL Level is a realistic change?

I agree with you. Though I reckon Dimma will drop Griff before Vickery

3 inside 50 deliveries to Riewoldt. No wonder he was poor.

No doubt that was a factor, but being at the game I think he could have worked a lot harder. Wasn't leading and presenting anywhere near enough, therefore didn't get the ball kicked to him.

Remember his first hitout was the training drill against the bombers, he needed the run.
Im convinced its why the focus was on the pre-season inform Vickery. The stat of 14 i50s to Vick and only 3 to Jack shows where his team mates were directed to go.

Round 1 is crazy to over analyse any team or player, remember the Hawks lost round 1 last year and Gunston had a shocker.

Neither has to be dropped though, Griffths is in the team as a forward/ruck so unless dimma decide he wants vickery rucking again, they both will stay. The only reason vickery started rucking was to get him more involved in the game on the weekend. The conditions will most likely be a bit better for talls on Thursday week at the G. There is a strong case to bring in a Lloyd or king type, preferably Lloyd. So that we have someone at the feet of them if they don't mark it to make having three more effective ploy.

If you read my first post that you quoted I was arguing this exact point. I think it is crazy to write off Vickery after one poor game, as I have no doubt he will bounce back just like jack will. Horrible conditions for forwards and our delivery was very poor. I Expect them to get back on track in 2 weeks time.
